its sad that in every thread were a CONSOLE game is praised graphically, someone always has to post Crysis pics... i dont know what they want to prove.... that they can't read maybe, because when there is the usual debate which console game looks better, Crysis shots are posted, and so on for any thread concerning console graphics..

Its clear to everyone (i hope) that NO game on consoles can match Crysis visual quality, CONSOLE OWNERS KNOW THAT... blind fanboys might not admit it, but they still know it..

this thread is about Heavy Rain looking good, (i would still wait for some actual gameplay footage) but if those are in-game shots, then the game is visually impressive...

I do believe you do it on purpose, cause you get a kick out of it, seeing reactions from console fans (mainly PS3 fans,cause you tend to bash mostly the PS3)... it would be disturbing if you truly are like that in reality..

I would lie and hype up things beyond what they are if Iwould be insecure... like most cows are. Though you should know about lighting up "fires" in versus threads, but hey dont complain becouse you got your fingers burnt lighting that pile up! ;)

Probably Crysis.

*nods head* I could be a little nitpicky about the clothes and some of the scenery shown... but I'm only going to say that the character models so far look terrific(especially the faces), even for an adventure game.

Like I said, I'm willing to give these guys a chance, even if I was ultimately dissapointed by Indigo. It seems that their direction with this title is more of a down to earth experience and that, imo, is something that is lacking in the industry at this point in time.

*insert some some kind of remark concerning video games and their only porpuse as an escape from real life here* ... fortunately for us, like any industry out there, this one is also a versatile one.

Hmm prebaked shadows easy, real-time shadows in one direction, prebaked facing the wrong direction vs lightsource, static lighting prebaked into textures easy to see. Hey have you ever played Max Payne 2? that game has prebaked lighting and shadows...

also the faces in mass effect, gears of war, mgs4 and virtua fighter 4 are not as good as that. fight night 3 is either very close or better due to the fact it doesnt have to render much apart from the boxers.
