This is just ridiculous.... I would feel like such a loser if I was a dev on this project.

This is sad because I was starting to gain some respect for "FROM SOFTWARE" after Ninja Blade turned out good, and same with Demons Souls.... but this just makes me wish that Nintendo sues them, and takes them to the cleaners.

meh... Dante's Inferno is not a rip off..... I assume you think it's ripping off God of War right? Do you think God of War was the 1st action/hack & slash? Sure the gameplay resembles it... but does it copy sound effects, weapons, enemies?

Quantum I'll give you though.... its not only a rip off, but a hilariously stupid looking one also.

It's a beast of the underworld (hell) in Greek Mythology.... and DI takes place in hell... plus the version of Cerberus in DI, is not your traditional Cerberus at all... the only likeness is that it has 3 heads.

They even have a half-assed version of the "found a secret" sound from Zelda, when the guy blows up a wall. :|

This game doesn't remind so much of Zelda as it does the Game level in Persona 4. You know, with the whole blocky graphics and boss battle.

No, I haven't, which is why I make no association to Zelda at all. I've played very little of the original and am only going on what I've seen from the previous older titles. Obviously it is a Zelda-esque clone, but I associate it more to the Persona 4 level because of the art style and graphics. I'm honestly not a huge fan of Zelda, especially the older titles.

So I guess Shadow Complex is a huge rip-off towards Super Metroid? No, its more of an inspirational towards the game.

The same with 3D Dot Game Heroes is an inspirational of the NES Zelda.

Wow, well.. A Link to the Past was one of my favourite games, if not my MOST favourite game of all time, and I had to read this thread to understand what you guys thought it was a ripoff of :| I had no idea. I was playing the vid without sound if that matters, and also I was thinking of current-gen games.

I don't really understand how it's a ripoff if Nintendo haven't made a Zelda game like that in 15 years. They went all lame with the Zelda franchise after LTTP, and it's great to see another developer reviving gameplay that Nintendo themselves abandoned.

It's definitely the most blatant rip off of a game I've ever seen, but the old Zelda games were kickass, so this should be pretty decent.

So you've played through both Ninja Blade? and Demons Souls? Do you even own either of them? Hey guess what.... I do. Oh and just because I say that 2 games are good, doesn't mean I think they are equally good.... oops... you've been owned.

Quantum looks like its trying to be Gears of War.... DI looks like just another action hack&slash game... sure it took some tips from GoW, I doubt the devs would even deny it... but if you've watched the videos then you'd know they look very different, visually at least.... no of us have played it, so we can't really say now can we. I guess if GoW somehow has the rights to hack & slash action games with some QTE thrown in... then yeah.... DI is a rip off of GoW.... oh and I guess so is THe Force Unleashed. :roll:

I own and love my ps3, but I hope this flops. It is a blatant ripoff. If this game is to accomplish anything, I hope it sparks in interest in some people to go play zelda if they've never played it before.
