Not only legally could they not do it (you did mention this), but buying SONY, a HUGE conglomerate company as it is, would bankrupt Microsoft....they couldn't easily afford it like you claim....nothings that easy I'm afraid.

But there's also another issue.....Microsoft doesn't have the know how to run Sony.

Microsoft can't even manage run game development studios...how would they run a company that makes MOVIES, TV shows, MUSIC, GAMES, TV's, Clock Radios, etc.

Microsoft would not only just mess it (SONY) up, just like they did with FASA, ENSEMBLE, ACES, RARE and now BUNGIE....they'd hurt and ultimately end up bankrupting themselves trying.

Microsoft is incompetent when it comes to dealing with creative entities.

LOl, that's why their "creative" talents bring in more Profit in ONE quarter, then Sony makes in one YEAR.

Misleading thread is misleading. Estimated value is pretty much a guess since it is the sum of all future profits, averaged out between the current profits. Note "Future profits". This is mainly to please the share holders, but most companies will inflate their estimated value to get more investors.

So COws have been the most milked the last 2 gens :shock: , guess since playstation lost the lead in every other category comapred to Playstation 1and 2 , that they would lose this category also;)

Uh this thread makes no sense.... X-box 360 isn't a brand and neither is the PS3 they are part of the product lines within the brand which is X-box and Playstation. A brand is part of everything, image, logo, taglines, ect not just a single console.
