X360 has one shot at a 2008 AAAE or higher

Valkyria Chronicles? Are you serious? SEGA hasn't come out with any good games in a long while, let alone a great one. Let's also not forget that in most cases with multiplats, the "lead" system is the 360. As you have mentioned in another thread, this means that a great AA? game such as Fallout 3 kind of stinks on a PS3. So the multiplats from here on out, on the lead 360 platform, will likely have a superior edge to the PS3 version...which has to go through a series of hocus pocus & voodoo magic before the game can be played on that console. In the end, the current batch of awesome multiplats appear to be in better standing on the 360 than the PS3. The cows get to play it, but it's kind of like, what's the word for it? Lem leavings?

And let's not also forget about the biggest upset for this year: the announcement of Final Fantasy for the Xbox 360. :-) I wonder if it's the lead platform for FF as well?

Yes, I am series. It's been getting AA, AAA and even 1 AAAA score from other sites/magazines. So it has a chance of AAA at GS.

Aside from Fallout 3, every big multiplat this year has been equally good on both consoles. If there is a difference, it's tiny. Nothing like last year, when every multiplat was a complete train-wreck on the PS3. And it's even the lead console for some games, eg Dead Space, Mirror's Edge.

That's all well and good but it really has nothing to do with the library of either console for 2008, FF13 is set for 2009/10. And it's been confirmed that the PS3 is the lead console for it.

Yep, Resistance 2 will score AAAE, MS 2 will score AAE and the other 2 around A-AAE. According to GS, the 360 won in 2007 and the PS3 seems to be winning in 2008, that sounds fair to me.

Resistance has a good chance. MSPR would get an A, for sure.

Naruto will get AA tops... no anime game can possibly be AAA. My bets on another possible AAA this year for PS3 would be Valkyria Chronicles.

I dont want to play a number of shatter games i want to play the best.

It could surprise us all, but I doubt it will get GOTY up against LBP, MGS4, & GTA IV. It looks like a solid game, but there's not enough different from the 1st one to make it worthy of GOTY.

On the other hand, the first one was AAA so this one should be also... unless it really does end up feeling like more of the same. I think the subtle differences in environment and gameplay should add enough to keep it AAA though. We'll know in a few more weeks. LOL, diehard lemmings would be crushed if it got anything less than AAA though! But all reports so far have been fantastic.

SW has always come down to GS scores, no getting around it.

Lets just face it, as far as GS and SW is concerned:

2007: 360 = great and PS3 = sad

2008: 360 = sad and PS3 = great

it is according to gamerankings. Its an 89.7, and they havn't even included all of the sources which gave fable 2 9.5s and 10s.
