PS3 has the best version, get over with it... 9.5 this year means much more then 9.6 last year.Â
"The PlayStation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is every bit as impressive as the Xbox 360 and PC versions. However, this isn't necessarily the best version of the game. This version does come with the Knights of the Nine add-on, which will add about 10 hours of gameplay to the already lengthy game, but it doesn't come with any of the other downloadable additions made available on the Xbox 360."
Wrong again, folks.

PC version is best... so thats why it said it wasnt the best version. The reveiw did say that this games does indeed perform better thent he 360 version... and with the new content... it is a better deal.
As for the other 360 downloads... is it not going to be made for the PS3 version eventually? is this content you have to pay for?Â

"There are some gamers who want to turn this title into a battleground for next-gen hardware, presuming whoever has the superior Oblivion wins the console war. I'm sorry, but after spending many hours with both versions and some side-by-side comparisons, the conflict just isn't there. When the core content of a game is this wonderful, a few minor tweaks don't revolutionize the experience; the PS3 version loads marginally faster, chugs a little less in combat, and the outdoor draw distance is slightly improved. On the other hand, with all of the extras available for the game on 360 and PC, the PS3 release feels like it is coming out of the gate a few paces behind. All cross-platform considerations aside, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is still one the best games out there. The vast world, countless quests, and endless potential for exploration make it an adventure you need to play in any form you can."

No, but you do have time to complete the most over-used PS3 fanboy argument and it goes like this:
1. Take a one year old game that's ported from the 360 and/or PC to the PS3.
2. Read something in the reviews about how after ONE YEAR of extra development time it has more lighting and is slightly more optimized.
3. Start a post based on this argument then ignore the people who tell you that an extra year of development time can give a game these slight differences that you hang out as flamebait in SW.
 4. Repeat whenever other ports are released proving nothing.

I think the end result is al that matters.... if you cared about this game a year ago.. then have it and would not even consider the ps3 version... if someone is to look at this game TODAY... and had a choice between the 360 and PS3 version... They the one who picks up the PS3 game will have a game that performs.

Yeah, I'm sure that 9.6 and RPG GOTY really hurt their testosterone compared to PS3's 9.5. And ouch, it must hurt them knowing that all fans of the series already played it on PC or Xbox 360 and have no real reason to buy the PS3 port. Ow, the truth hurts.

Quotes aside... what the reveiwer is actually saying is that the PC version is better and that the 360 version has content not available on the PS3 version (yet? I dont know... it might come out)
The PS3 version according to the reveiw... performs and looks slightly better then the 360 version AND includes that mini-expansion.
Now you tell me which of the two console version sounds more appealing.Â

It performs fine on the 360 and has more content with expansion soon. BTW it performs better on my PC than on any console, so once again you fail. And you would only buy it for the PS3 if you are one of the unlucky 1.6 million to have already purchased one. Luckily I don't know any to point and laugh at.

Yeah, but most of the features have come out in the time it took the PS3 version to be ported.
Such as, the graphics update, all the download content, and even an expansion pack. Plus, the 360 version is probably cheaper in price now. Don't say that the 360 version is inferior when it clearly still stands strong.Â
