It's incredible that they essentially praise a second life rip that is focused more on the social aspect of videogames than the actual videogames. Seriously, home is essentially a 3d chat room that allows you to play games at this time. Despite the fact that it isn't even completely unified (no unified friends list, etc.), the focus of the service is on the social aspect of this 3d chatroom. I mean, that's what they were showing off at least. It's going to be interesting to see what they see when they need to pay to wear a hat.

Sure, XBL is $50/year. It's the quality that counts though, and it's top notch and has been for awhile now. Does the fact that WoW is $75 for 6 months of play ($12.99/month, if anyone really wants to argue the different pricing options of WoW please look at my sig and the amount of time i've spent on WoW before you proceed) change the fact that it's top notch quality? No, and the same goes for Xbox Live. If anyone has an issue with paying $5 every few months for 3-5 new maps then go play a board game because you are in the wrong hobby. Seriously, whining about $5 is just sad.

Personally, I'd rather pay a nominal amount than have ads in my face. I happily pay for Gamespot Complete (or whatever they call it now) and I don't mind paying extra for Live or content downloads if it means I don't have to be forced to look at commercials for underwear or deodorant.

I dont know about you guys, but the only thing i ever payed for on xbox live was an arcade game which was awesome. And that's ok... y'know, people make the game and you pay for it. Called business. Everything else, i've just waited happily for it to be free. Just like waiting the two months for Halo 2's maps. Just like waiting for the Gears maps. If you fancy a change, pay for them. If you're happy with the games you've got, wait for the to be free. Either way, you're spending or saving what, $4? Is it even worth a thread? Then again... KeyWii.Ninja-Vox

I love when people says "OBLIVION CAME OUT 1 YEAR LATER!!! AND NO EXPANSION FOR MONTHS!!!" Ok, 360 launched November and got oblivion in March, PS3 launched in November and got Oblivion in March...hmmm what is so hard to understand about this? The expansion took 1 year to come out for the 360, the PS3 version just came out so why would they release the expansion now?

Also for RB6 and GRAW2, it is not the PS3's fault that the developers decided to not start developing the game for both systems at the same time...RB6 should have made it to the PS3 launch, but they favored the 360 more and now people blame the PS3 for it...

Ohh and, if you pay 50 a year for online you should pay 0 for extra content like maps and horse armor...

The update is free.

The new maps cost some money first, then they are free later.

Don't worry. The PS store will have new game content that needs to be payed for soon enough.

You'll appreciate the difference then. That is is Sony ever decides to use the same model.
