Xbox 360 and Exclusives: Do you need more than the big two?

I'm only speaking about two exclusives here (I hope you follow suit), one by a brand new studio which is carrying a well known and loved franchise and one by a well known and loved studio which is creating a brand new franchise.

Halo 4 developed by 343 Studios releases November 6 of this year

Destiny developed by Bungie releases sometime in Autumn of 2013

We know Halo, but what of Destiny? If you wait for the major gaming sites to release their own news on it you will be waiting for a while because Bungie has said they are not showing or even speaking on anything substantial of Destiny until some time in 2013 -- in fact the only footage we have of it can be seen in the last couple of minutes of the documentary O Brave New World which chronicles the history of Bungie as a studio.

Destiny is something completely new for Bungie. A persistent world that, as Bungie put it in O Brave New World, will become more the player's game than Bungies.

All is speculation without a source, and months back Infinity Ward creators filed a lawsuit against Activision and from the wreckage of the suit that is currently being litigated came all the information I have spoken of. The exclusivity of at least the first of the four Destiny iterations, and all of the information that Bungie, to their dismay and of no fault of their own, had to make public because of the Infinity Ward/Activsion lawsuit.

In summation, while two exclusives may not seem like many (there are more) these two are indeed the most important.

We know there will be four versions each with their own expansion (Comet) released the following year - 2013-2020
We know it will be rated T/16+

We don't know anything about the actual game, and won't know until Bungie raises the curtain sometime next year.

Seeing as Destiny is supposed to to "massive-multiplayer-style" I am picturing something along the lines of Planetside (as I said earlier).

Bungie doesn't do anything spur of the moment - this is from Marathon Infinity released in 1996....or it could possibly be what could possibly be the series after Destiny (read throughhttp://misriahsolutions.com/articles/waiting-for-destiny/5/for more, or through the whole document Activision had to release).

I strongly dislike leaks, but I'm not sure if I should consider this a leak or not. It is in a way, but not in the traditional way.

As a gamer and not a fanboy, its always good to have more, its gives you a reason to choose a console over the other.

Bungie is like Valve, the are a video developer that makes shootes. The only two games Bungie has made that aren't shooters are Gnop! (Pong clone for Mac) and Myst(RTS).

I'll let it go that Valve didn't technically make Portal, but ever developer does something a little different at some point in time. Bungie also did Oni (Action) so there is a little deviation from their mostly Shooter portfolio.

For me, yes. I am not a big Halo fan, IMO there are far better shooters out there for both SP and MP. Gears is a good series though, but not good enough to warrent the purchase of a 360. I find most 360 exclusives to be lackluster and they are only meant for online really, which get boring after a while. That other game you showed is the first time I'm hearing about it, I like that picture. Looks like it has good art direction, but I hope it is not a shooter.

PS3 is the way better console with the way better exclusives, even the Wii has better exclusives than the 360. I understand why lems are so angry on here all the time. System failures, paying for online, crap exclusives, no blu ray, can't compete graphically with PS3, I would be mad too if that was my main or only console. I would take that as a sign to go get the better system, the PS3.
