I agree, 360 is a cheap watered down PC that can't do HD and runs at 30fps.

Its a weak PC with restrictions and P2P gaming

It's sad. :( 360 truly has ruined gaming, it has dumbed down established PC series and destroyed console gaming.

agreed although many great games died last gen the ps1/n64 gen was so much better than ps2/xbox

The Xbox brand has literally dragged console gaming through the ground. Having a ghetto PC as the leaading console for the first year or two of the race was really bad, because now the main console experiences (now FPS games rather than console genres such as action adventures and the like) are simply watered down PC experiences. Console gaming is seriously having trouble standing out from PC gaming this gen, thanks to Xbox.

It's obvious that Microsoft's goal was to bring gimped, watered down and dumbed down PC gaming to the masses. If they wanted to do that, that's their choice, but they have to realize that because their system was leading in developer support, most developers for consoles now make dumbed down PC experiences to fit the Xbox criteria, and that has affected console gaming as a whole.

Xbox has ruined console gaming this gen and made it lose its identity. One can only hope that PS3 and Wii rectify this situation, because 360 only makes it worse, with its generic simpleton dumbed down PC game clones. Discuss.

Interesting post but your argument was pretty weak. Count on lemmings to dismantle this in about four more pages.

exactly. Every time you (TC) speak in absolutes its like a dog whistle to the fanboys. Try to be a little bit more objective, shall we? Consoles have been going the way of the PC for some time now. Even the Wii is more like the PC in most respects, with an internet browser and (extremely handicapped) online play. So why single out the 360 as "ruining console gaming?" changing, yes. ruining, absolutely not. If anything, its helping consoles with services like DLC which were out long before the competition

I think thats why lemmings as a group are so bitter and angry.

They know deep down what their system is.

I'm a retired PC gamer. And believe me, I have ZERO regrets. I love the hunchback hermits talking smack. ALWAYS FUNNY!

theyre just upset because we enjoy our "dumbed down" games as much as they do and we only invest half the time and money

Without mod support, dedicated servers, and good framerate,I can't see how that is true.

Look at it this way: You only enjoy a console version of a game until you've played it on PC.

but who cares, we still enjoy it! thats what people dont get, yea it may be better on some other system, but you know what, i enjoy lying in bed or sitting on the couch playing my games on my TV, with splitscreen with friends that are over, just as much as you may enjoy mods...why does that bother people?

if DLC and microtransactions become more popular (thanks to the 360) developers will one day decide NOT to put some aspects in the game altough they could to sell them over DLC, and we will one day buy half-games for the same price as full games, which is something no gamer should tolerate.

face it MS is transforming the gaming industry into a great milkage or at least they would love to do so, they are trying this whole LIVE service on PC but as of now it is a big failure
