If this is true it may be a sign of games coming to HD-DVD which would be awful for anyone who has any SKU before the one with built in HD-DVD. Also, unless it has built in Wifi it doesn't match PS3. I'm glad I spent $600 for everything in one package and if anything this has convinced me not to buy a 360 for another year or two.

Look, i perfectly understand the subject of this thread. If this rumor turns out true it will be a funny thing to happen, but in no way that built in HD-DVD would be used for gaming. Come on, only a fool would believe this. My comment was just to joke around, but i guess some people take this SW thing too seriously to see that.

The contract only lasts around a year from when they agreed to it ( cant be bothered to find a link right now but if i come across it i'll post), im sure if blue-ray is winning by a large margin they'll jump ship. Also this summer the top 25 or so movies were all on blu-ray(sales i guess, again ill try to finds a link), dont know how many were exclusive blu-ray but still. Also to the TC, this has nothing to do with games, they have to make games on dvd-9 since so many people have cores.

wi-fi does nothing for gaming?? Wow. I will be glad to tell you that I play games online with 32 players (Resistance) using wifi. WIFI is pretty important to me as a gamer. I could pick up my PS3 and hook it up to my monitor upstairs while my wife is watching a movie or I can hook it up to my HDTV downstairs. IT's a great feature to have. My modem is in a completely different room than my TV or computer. For some people, WiFi is an absolute must have, body. You fanboys are rediculous.

Porn is already on Bluray, and it won't be that much of a factor now days thanks to the internet.

I really don't see the point of this SKU. By the time it comes out HD-DVD players may only be around $100 or so seeing as how one can be had new for $200 now.

Not only is this box going to have the HD DVD feature in it, its going to have the colors inverted. A green color scheme with white lights. The red lights are still going to be malfunction signs though.

Agreed. But there's no reason to assume Blu-Ray will have a large lead. Personally, I don't know if this holiday season gives the edge to either.

You say this now just like you said all of that wasn't necessary until your system has it, then it's great. When they start using the HD DVD drive to improve games and make them longer then you'll say that it's greater than BR and now the games are way better. You Lems are well known for dissing whatever is great that the PS3 can do and offers its gamers. Then when MS obviously copies Sony and puts the same thing in its xbox's it's great and wonderful.
