LOL anyone who bought a 360 before zep comes out = ownedHammerofjusticeHow? I've been the best games for over a year now.
So 80$ for a extra 100gig's and a HDMI port... I don't know... that's not an amazing deal.

and how exactly are you justifying an extra $200 for a PS3 that has crap games and equal graphics with a 60 gig HD???

Nintendo already confirmed a new Wii that will support DVD movie playback...they prob made the zephyr so that they can name their next xbox , xbox 4 so there would be PS4 and xbox 4Of course! It all makes sense now!!!!
thats why they dint name their system xbox 2 because that would sound inferior to PS3

The Xbox 360 is $700+ to add on what the PS3 has built in. Oh, and check out the great exclusives coming to the PS3 this year... MGS4, Killzone 2, SOCOM 4, Gran Turisimo 5, Final Fantasy XIII, Ratchet & Clank (there are other great exclusives, but these are surefire blockbusters). The Xbox 360 only has Halo and Gears of War.It looks good and has a whole lot more features but I still think this is somewhat of a mistake. There's no ownage. But Microsoft is kind of doing what Apple does with the iPod. You can keep your old 360 that works fine right now and will work fine for future games, but what about the people that want more than what the current 360 has to offer? 20GB is tiny, but Microsoft will probably release a bigger hard drive that you can buy one and add it onto your old console. I don't think it is a bad thing for Microsoft to update. If they didn't update, you would still have the same console you have now (and you're not complaining now are you?). I don't want Microsoft to be stuck in the stone age of technology. I can see how some poeple would get angry if Microsoft does do what Apple does and puts the 20GB at $299 and the Zephyr at $399. I would feel a little cheated, but that's just how it goes. If you don't like what the 360 has to offer now then don't buy one. Buy a PS3 in the meantime. It will be good for 7-10 years. Or just patiently wait for the new 360 to be released.
Not only will this annoy every 360 owner right now but it is also a sign of weakness. They're playing catch up to the PS3 now.
Bit unfair MS to current 360 owners.

I've only heard of rumors to this point...this kinda clears it up though I'd say...479.99 + 120 gigs...ooooooo makes it real hard to even look at a PS3...

Crap, I forgot Mass Effect. How could I forget Mass Effect? That game might be as big as Halo 3... No, it won't be, but it should be. Now on with the rebuttal: First, Microsoft doesn't own Bioware. In fact, Bioware is making a game for the PS3. Second, Bioshock is not first party. It could still come to the PS3 (timed exclusive). It probably won't, but it could. Splinter Cell Conviction is a 360 exclusive but third party. The PS3 third party exclusives include MGS4, FFXIII, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Tekken 6, etc. The bad thing about third parties is that they are unreliable. Most third party games will come out for both platforms. First party is where it's at. Sony has the best first party linup coming this year. Nintendo seriously needs to get some new IPs. First Party Games: PS3: 6 (Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2, Lair, Eye of Judgment, Resistance, Heavenly Sword) - (4 new IPs) 360: 3 (2 new IPs) Yeah, 360 first party support isn't lacking at all. I rest my case.lol ... anyone who owns an xbox360 right now ... owned. advertise_this
Nonsense. I own a 360. Why should I be upset if MS creates an updated version. It won't play the games any differently than my premium. I've only used half of the hard drive space. I just delete demos when I'm done with them. No big deal.
$399 was a fair price for what I received. Even if Zepher cost the same (it doesn't), I don't feel cheated. I've been working with computers for twenty years. Technology just gets cheaper all the time.

I agree with everything you said. I think the reason why some Sony fans are spouting off and some Xbox fans are upset at this rumor is because while we can always expect computer hardware to improve and get cheaper with time, this practice of updating a console at the beginning of its existence is pretty much unprecedented. I certainly agree it's not a significant upgrade for most Xbox360 owners out there. HDTVs that are more than a year old can't even utilize the added HDMI port and the HDD attachment will be available alone as an accessory eventually anyway. But the fact that it is a noticeable upgrade (the change in color certainly doesn't help matters) will lead some owners to think that their Xbox isn't as new or isn't the latest and greatest offering. And I guess that is their right to be upset since no one believed MS would release a newer model so soon.
