Xbox live gold requirement is getting ridiculous

Only 1 $/mif your gold runs out.. have been using that offer a few months now(could be something with regions that i dunno)or if you buy online 40 bucks isnt really that much if u ask me.. and seriously i must admit the kinect design and voice thing works pretty good for youtube "talking to your xbox, to find youtube songs works pretty neat"..
and why is ppl complaining about this in 2011 almost 12 ?, we knew this from the start.. but gold is worth especially now with all these new apps and such, it clearly got some benefits over psn thats for sure.. both play online yes we know, guess you get what you pay for ?

and like i said, we have paid for live for years, and when something is free comes on xbox ppl complain.. but still we have paid since launch ppl's logic in here damn

I don't understand why there is so much fuss over them adding "features" to a premium account. Even if they are free elsewhere you aren't paying extra for them if you have a gold subscription. If you have a silver account they just aren't available to you, it's not like they are charging for the apps separately..On top of that there are other places you can get them for free if you want to use them.

The only people I ever hear b**ching about this all the time are the same people that wouldn't get the service in the first goddamn place.Personally I'm not too happy about the sub fee, but for right now it works best for me and my friends as I think XBL's community features are better thought out than PSNs. I think all of the apps suck, but I have a HTPC so, whatever, I never even look at them.

Yeah, making features like Netflix "gold exclusive" is weak, especially since you can stream for free o the PS3, Wii, and Tablets, PC, etc. Xbox is the only thing that charges you something to be able to use it.

I don't think anyone would get defensive about XBL if someone didn't come out and say "You're just bending over for MS and you're stupid for doing it."

What? I'm paying for a service that I thoroughly enjoy and feel that it is completely worth and it I'm stupid? I don't even use the features like Netflix, Youtube, ESPN either, I have a TV and a PC for that, so essentially I'm paying 60 bucks to play online and talk to family and friends.

But that last part is what is key, and what makes XBL such an enjoyable and worthwhile thing for me.

If someone thinks it's a rip-off, more power to them. I don't give a damn. But don't come out and attack other XBL subscribers.

I have already paid for the game, I'm not paying extra to have access to a feature that is already on the disk. And I honeslty don't care about extra stuff on the console.
