Xbox live gold requirement is getting ridiculous

Steam has no lobby chat plus they dont host server for you.

clans are none existant on xbox live because games dont have a main lobby where everyone who's logged online can text chat at once.

GFWL is XBL, taking it out of it's limited enviroment just shows how weak and inflexible it really is.

Well the rest of the gaming world seems to disagree here, hence why only the 360 charges for it. Something just doesn't compute here. Even if in the future it becomes a forced standard it will still be unjustified. The nickle and diming that has been brought into this gen has increased ten-folds, it's pathetic. But this industry in actuality is run by kids that have everything bought by their parents, or by teens that work but don't have any responsabilities to pay bills and such. The rest have to bite their lips because we don't really have any control of the greed level of video game corporations.

And because of that, you'll never have the phrase "vote with your money" have any actual meaning.

Nothing really.. They fill the same role and are both quite limited to the extent that they're inferior to the smartphone services.

I don't know about you guys but I'm just gracious that Microsoft has given us the privilege to be a gold member. I'm very happy to pay them for this in the same way I'm proud to be the 3DS Handheld Ambassador.

People thought the PS3 was a great value at 600 bucks. Were they wrong because I thought it was too expensive at the time? No. I just didn't think it was of value to ME. People should remember stuff like that when they start whining about anything they think is too expensive for THEM.
