Not really, people get upset when either PSN or Xbox Live goes down. whether one goes down more frequent or the other stays down longer, people should care cause we are paying for both services now. To brag about one going down more than the other is just silly, it's a problem nobody should be really having cause it's annoying.

You're not understanding what is going on here, PSN has a considerably higher cumulative downtime as compared to XBL... Like I said, when PSN went down a month and a half ago for a day, that's likely going to be the entirety of XBL's downtime for the entire year...

All this article is stating is that XBL went down or experienced interruptions at a higher frequency than PSN, higher frequency does not equate to longer downtime...

I agree that PSN and Xbox Live shouldn't go down this often, nothing to do with analysts saying that XBL goes down more.

Xbox Live was down 4 times and PSN was down 3 times, those 4 times probably barely even equate to 2 hours whereas for PSN it's more than 24...

It's just pointless, it's meant to look bad in some capacity for XBL but all it does is bring people into the thread that will shed light on the reality that PSN is down more regardless of frequency.

Yup... Meantime online service is up for both PSN and XBL right now and millions are using it. lol!! This thread is just dumb. No one ever said XBL was perfect. Last gen XBL almost never went down, but there was still a few hacks and service problems. It was still up almost 99% of the time. This gen it's probably been up about 95% of the time. PSN has always been down for longer periods of time. Sony refuses to purchase quality dedicated servers.

You really need to understand downtime and uptime percentages before you start throwing out numbers, what you're saying right now with a 95% uptime is that Xbox Live is down 72 minutes a day, over the course of a 30 day month that would be 36 hours (a day and a half)...

PSN was down when we first got our console over a year ago. Since then it's worked every time we used it. You guys need to quit lying to make points. I guess if I had an X1 I'd have more of a chance that it would be down than up judging by the OP.
