Xbox live has the WORST community on earth.

I can't believe I payed Microsoft to listen to this.

I was playing COD4 on Xbox live the other day and this one guy said he hoped we all got cancer and died. Ok fair enough I guess. But then this English guy said 9/11 was funny and he laughed when the people jumped from the towers. He then started chanting "where's your towers gone" , I felt kinda sick listening to this. There was also a lot of racist comments being chucked about between him and a few Americans, and one said he done time in prison for stabbing a black person. this was all in one game. It all happened within the space of 3 minutes. I get this in almost every game I go into on Xbox live if people are using microphones.

The people who play PC/PS3/Wii online have far more respect for each other than 360 owners. I have no idea why it's just true. And I think it's disgusting that decent people sitting at home with their kids have to listen to this filth every time they go on Xbox liveto play a game.

Finally, I agree with you for once, Halo 3 is a perfect example.

Oh please. The same thing happens on the PC and PSN. Play with better people. There are morons anywhere there is a public internet connection and anonymity.

The dota community is pretty bad to, and the WoW community when the game got really popular (the original community was really really good), when things go mainstream things like this happen, there's no avoiding it. Games like Sins of a solar empire have awesome communities though.

I never experienced that kind of talk in all the hundreds of hours I played Halo 3. You just got unlucky.

You play online, you're going to meet many questionable people there. No matter if it's online via PC, Xbox, or PS3. You just hear it more on 360 compared to PS3 cause there are more people with mics who on 360 than on PS3. Still,yoshi_64

i don't agree, you get tools in every online game. the only place to avoid them is in some obscure game that has a small developed community, a massive popular game like halo, wow or cod is bound to attract all types of people.

the 360 is the only system where everyone has mics, and that's bound to make you notice more people acting fools.

i don't think i've ever played a popular game where people can communicate and had a completely smooth experience.

Apparently, the only thing more common than random idiots on the internet, is random people who go on XBL, which represents a fraction of the human population only to come to the conclusion that it's XBL that has the problem.

Or maybe it's that XBL has so many more people on it, that you're bound to run into a bit of life's true reality more often. If it makes you feel better, go shelter yourself on PSN. *smirk*

On consoles Xbox Live has the largest most active community, so yeah I could see how it could have more of every thing.

In any online community you will get this.

I mean people bash PSN for not using mics but when you consider that in games like COD4 people just talk rubbish to soely annoy Im grateful.

PSN is nice though becuase causals dont buy mics, but in KZ2 and SOCOM people buy them and most are fine. Though in SOCOM you get americans being incredibly racist. Although for some reason they do this on the European servers... :evil:

But yeah PSN can get it too. Just not as much as its the casual games you will get it most and casuals dont want to buy a headset.

EDIT: just want to make it clear Im not bashing Americans here. Im sure 99% of you are fine online but onfortunately its those few who are so incredibly racist. And for some reason all of them go on the European servers... Never know maybe I should play on US servers it'd probably be better :lol:
