You put far too much stock on XBone's YoY sales. The machine was a dismal failure at its original pricepoint. May 13th was when the $399 Kinectless bundle went up on store shelves and was also summarily shellacked by the PS4 throughout 2014 (until the Holiday YOLO fire sale of Nov and Dec). A YoY growth is irrelevant when comparing both PS4 and even the XBone itself this year. Lest ye forget. The Motley Fool, a highly reputable financial sector publication had this to say.

It's not hard to see why, considering the XBone has had fewer retail exclusives in 2015 than even the WiiU. Implying that Halo is the only thing on the board this year... Even if it were the only thing and the fact that it is in decline, it's still a juggernaut exclusive and a big system mover.

You're also forgetting about the Halo 5 Limited Edition Xbox One that will be releasing, it will be in line with the Call of Duty one, an actual custom system and not just a bundle.

Your own lack of intelligence prevents you from understanding basic dialog. I'll spell it out for you so a person with your mental limitations can understand: fanboys will always buy a system from a company they're a fan of, regardless of features or games available at launch, so once Microsoft sold as many Xbox Ones to fanboy dopes, they had to remove Kinect to move more units to regular people.

Another issues is your 2015 best seller list includes a bundle mostly discontinued and had been recently been being outsold by the Halo Bundle, and Amazon is the only place where the AC bundle has presence, using that bundle as a sign for a fall is completely nonsense and has no logic whatsoever.

Another thing is that you're DC of the Xbox having no exclusives, must mean they aren't worth much and have no legs, because look at last month. Weird.

Also, in may White XBox One was number one on GS, and was number one for some time in BB, then became second, right after the Halo MCC regular black bundle, and only one SKU. White bundle had no effect on amazon.

No, see your insinuation when you said "most gamers just didn't want that shit in the first place.", wasn't a point of saying 70% of the total Xbox 360 market share didn't buy it or want it, it was you really saying gamers don't want that shit at all. The reality is though that 30% of Xbox 360 owners purchased a Kinect, for a peripheral that is an astonishing adoption rate, especially for something like that which is so expensive.

I don't have bias for the Kinect version because of some illogical means of rationalization because I purchased it, I have bias for it because it melds the entire system into what it's actually supposed to be, functions and is used how its supposed to be and provides great ease for many things, the Xbox One is incomplete without it. Also you're implying that bias always carries a negative connotation with it, it does not, there are many different forms of bias and they can be completely and logically founded, that of which my stance is.

The only thing Kinect did on the Xbox 360 different then Sony did was that MS was going for something new that's not already done while Sony just copy Wii's Wand and that's what separated between Kinect and PS Move. That said, MS didn't learn anything from last-gen Kinect and they were stupid to included for X1 in the first place. I'm sorry but the technology isn't advance enough to give us Kinect FPS. Glad I don't own that piece of shit Kinect.

Amazon was right in April. The XBone and PS4 swapped places a number of time. It was what led me to be the ONLY PERSON IN SYSTEM WARS to accurately predict that it would be a close month, although I tipped the hat to the PS4 whereas it fell to the XBone. Some perspective on that.. A 12-13K victory is a highly questionable win for the simple fact that NPD does not tally all retail sales for consoles. SO THERE IS THAT. At the end of the day, I'll take a data point over a non-data point. So, sure, why not have a victory for the XBone it's not like it happens a lot.

Which brings us to May. Yeah, there are two bundles in May. The MCC didn't exactly track in the top 100 (Annually) so I'm not sure why you're so confident that it will save the day. We shall see in a day, though.

I use it on Xbox 360 Star Wars Kinect and that was it. Got it at Gamestop for only $70 back then. I don't own Kinect for Xbox One so I really can't tell you anything.

I'm someone who bought a Xbox One at launch with a Kinect, Fifa 14 and two controllers. Kinect is still garbage on the Xbox One.

They have done that many months. Amazon was wrong. ALso uh, NPD DOES TALLY retail sales for cosnoles. WTF are you talking about? They tally up to over 90% and then estimate the rest based on trends. Direct from POS systems and other types of transaction records.

Halo MCC not being in annual has nothing to do with anything considering it's new, came out late, and now has another separate SKu you in a different color which would track separately (derp).

My point still stands, Decreasing, Increasing, Amazon was wrong last month, Discontinued bundle everywhere else but Amazon (ACU, not sure why you're trying to dodge this).

Then for this month you have a few factors, Wii U sales could split things up with Splatoon, White Halo Bundle, charting high and was number one SKu of all may since release and until the (iirc) 2nd-3rd day of June. The largest video game retailer. Bestbuy had it on top for a bit, last mont when Xbox one won it was on top on bestbuy for the first time since launch, now it's doing it again. Batman bundle may have gotten people to hold back, especially given that Amazon, GS, BB, etc. have Batman stuff re-charting high now all of a sudden, despite no new announcements, pretty much making it a safe conclusion that PS4 sales won't be too high whether they win or not.

Some trade-in deals from April continued until the start of June as well. Add a few other offers (like GS offering white Halo MCC with 1 year of gold) I can see this either being close, or a pretty big lead.

But then again Wii U could split things up to either side, and also Batman could have had a more positive than negative response as June became closer. But we'll fine out tomorrow.

The games I've played for it are terrible, Dance Central, Star Wars, Fable. Steel Battalion and Kinect Sport all are scraping the bottom of the barrel, dont always pick your movements and are almost all know as poor games

The voice commands dont work all the time. The only thing I use it for it to turn the system on and off and boy does my wife laugh when it doesn't work there the first couple times. Forget about using voice if you have a room full of people.

Which leads to my regret for buying it and happy that MS dropped it from being mandatory. I'm guessing we wont see that many more Kinect only games in the future, which is good.

You'll know if MS lost NPD if there is a big "leak" of an XBox game tomorrow.

Awesome tech doesn't always mean good for gaming. PS3 had awesome tech but it struggled with games.

You are correct, which is why I said that the tech was amazing. I haven't seen proper use for games with it. I only use it for automatically login and some voice commands

Kinect 2 is weak. It doesn't always recognize Xbox on commands, but it will turn on after an Xbox One commercial? The motion controls just don't work for games, the UI with Kinect is awful, I don't want to hold my hand up, get it aligned with what I want to use, hold it there and then pull my hand back towards me. The A button just works better. The only thing I ever got out of Kinect is "Xbox record that" but even that wore thin and now the thing is unhooked and put away because Gamestop won't even let me trade it in.

I don't have my cable hooked up through the X1 because it made my reception look worse and it's just as easy to hit a button on my TV's remote. Outside of Netflix and Hulu, I don't use any features on the X1. I also find Snap as a pointless feature. I don't want the right side of mt screen taken up by anything other than the game I'm playing. I hate how Party, Friends, and trophies always take you to Snap. Just me though and quite a few of the people I play with on the X1 who I've had this discussion with and they agree with me. I think people defend this stuff to justify their purchase. I can admit that not waiting for a Kinectless Sku was a mistake, but I got my X1 for $399 with Kinect and Titanfall at the beginning of March of last year so I didn't spend much more than I would've today. MS and their amazing fire sales to boost their sales numbers, and that was just over 3 months after release.
