Yeah im UK also and the launch price is pretty insane but im hoping some of this rumoured integrations with Broadband and television providers come into play.

Happily pay a little extra a month for an X1 for five years or so.

Then the only downfall then is being tied into a contract with a provider for a few years but easier to swallow than the launch price.

The only control you have is the option to purchase the product or not. They may decide to listen to you every now and then, but the consumer doesn't control shit. They have an effect on corporate policy, but as Microsoft and EA have shown, they don't have to listen to a goddamn thing you say. They'd rather roll the dice and come up short than to go against something they feel is "right"
