Why would that be?I hope everyone who argues about "principles" is going Nintendo-only next generation.

lol, you guys got more principals than the founding fathers and use your infinite moral superiority to bytch about microsoft.
everytime i see, "IT'S THE PRINCIPAL OF THE THING!!!" it makes me want to puke.
no.
you don't have principals.
if you did you would not be wasting your time here.
get a grip already.

Even though the X1 and the new systems MS have in place are quite frankly shit, the amount of fanboys trying to play the victim card or even worse, moral outrage (as if anything MS is doing is immoral or evil) are just laughable.
Yeah, this. The people who like it can buy it, the people who don't like it don't have to buy it. End of story.[QUOTE="Ly_the_Fairy"]Why would that be? I'm guessing because PS+ is required for online play now. Â ANd the vast majority of cows said they would never pay for this.I hope everyone who argues about "principles" is going Nintendo-only next generation.

or constant monitoring doesn't mean that it's ok for you to buy it.
SultaN-s
except Kinect doesn't continuously monitor you. When it is off it is off and will only respond to "Xbox On"
CEOs and execs, in the end, are nothing but low-level politicians. And remember, most of those who work in the gaming industry are not gamers and they don't give a damn about video games.
SultaN-s
As long as your realize that goes for all execs
lmao they wont. although they would if it were about principles. most people r going ps4 because its cheaper than the x1 but they r too ashamed to say it. and some people r just rabid fanboysI hope everyone who argues about "principles" is going Nintendo-only next generation.

Yeah, this. The people who like it can buy it, the people who don't like it don't have to buy it. End of story. I think the fear is that if enough dumb consumers buy into it, its could effect other consumer products as well. Microsoft has already shown how profitable it is to remove full premium expansion packs and free map packs and replacing them with Microtransactions (disc locked even). This could get much worse with their new schemes.[QUOTE="MrGeezer"][QUOTE="Snugenz"]Yeah, this. The people who like it can buy it, the people who don't like it don't have to buy it. End of story. You are correct TC, the terms of use of this luxury product are right up there with world hunger, child abuse, poverty and the million other failings of mankind.

Pre order cancelled.
[QUOTE="SultaN-s"]Thank you for making this. I will cancel my X1 preorder any get a Ps4. I have finally seen the light!!!!!!!! All hail Kaz!!!!! I love that little slant eyed bastardEven if you can afford to pay $60 for every game and pay for every service you want on the Xbox1 and have no problem with DRM or constant monitoring doesn't mean that it's ok for you to buy it. The problem with Xbox1 is about principle. I believe the new Xbox is a serious threat to gamers and non-gamers alike!
Not because a few rich executives said that "this is the way of the future" that mean it really is and you have to comply. Those people LIE, and they will continue to do so as long as we believe them. CEOs and execs, in the end, are nothing but low-level politicians. And remember, most of those who work in the gaming industry are not gamers and they don't give a damn about video games. They are in for the money. And the only improvements you should expect from them are business-wise. It is easier and far less expensive to trick you into believing that you are satisfied than actually satisfying you. They think they are the ones in control. But in truth, WE are the ones in control. Don't buy the Xbox One !!

Was that really needed? Honestly? Smh.

It's all over blown, exaggerated, over reaction, fear of moving forward change. The XO will adjust as users realize things were over blown, exaggerated, over reacted, and the fear of change pass and will appreciate the XO.gago-gago
Explain forced Kinect. Explain no upgrading X1's HDD. Explain why MS makes unnecessary changes that only are anticonsumer.Â
I don't see any disadvantages in the DRM policies of the XBox One. I have internet and I never buy or sell used games. I've had XBox Live since it was first available. I've also never paid more than $35 a year for Live. The $60 price everyone throws around is BS.
Installing games to the XBox One and never needing the disk again is a great feature.
There is a very good reason for the 24 hour check in. Microsoft is setting up a system where you can trade and sell games online, unlike Steam. The check in is needed to allow the legal trading and selling of digital games. A sold or traded game has to have a way for the license to be removed from one system and transferred to another.
They are giving you an easy way to do what a lot of you say is so important to you and you are bitching about it.
There will be an section on the XBox menu to give or trade a game to someone on your friends list.
There will also be a section to sell one of your games for credit in XBox's online store. No need to go to Gamestop.
Since there is no difference between a new and "used" copy of a digital download, there won't be used copies selling for $5 less than new copies and the game publishers / developers will be making money from every sale instead of Gamestop. Everyone benefits except Gamestop.
Since new games no longer have to compete against used games, we can expect to see the prices of games on the XBox One drop sooner, just like they do on Steam.
Microsoft has not done a good job of explaining this, but to me it sounds like they are giving you exactly what you want. If there were no physical copies of games, the 24 hour check in would not be necessary, but they have to have a way to keep multiple people from just installing a game from the same physical disk. That is why Microsoft needs a 24 hour check in and Steam doesn't.
How does the Kool Aid taste, dude?Murderstyle75
Man really, some people are just completely sold on this made up situaiton that microsoft has forged out of thin air. "We have to create this total bullshit fantasy for you so we can sell you an online fantasy! =D Â Â Â Buy into it nao!"
i am switching from the pay$tation 3 to the Microsoft Xbox One for the only true next gen gaming experience.

Case in point...
I hope you realize the ONLY truely next gen system is a fvcking awesome PC?
This will hold true probably forever. As soon as the xbone and the PS4 hit, the next PC's to hit the street ARE going to be stronger and faster and more capable.
