I'm sure they will speed it up, but as far as ui's go, microsoft has been kind of bad at that lately. 360, windows 8, and now xbox1. I think the ps3 has got the best ui, nice and sleek.

Jesus Personen. The ps4 looks more promising but don't be naive. When software is new it doesn't always run that great. Software can be improved. The UI in both the xbox and the ps3 has improved by leaps and bounds since the two consoles came out. I swear there is something that deletes the memory of the "typical" USA population every few years they seem to forget the past so easily. I believe it is brand loyalty.

I worked in technology for the past 20 years and quit because the people i was working with were so utterly stupid.  This really doesn't surprise me at all that microsoft would be this stupid.  Most of the good people who know what they are doing are long gone.

People who think this is going to improve are kidding themselves.  The technology itself is a complete waste and completely flawed.

Come one guys, the device isnt even out yet. Obviously they are still working out some kinks in the software aspect of the device. I remember being in the warframe thread and someone insulted IGN for reviewing a Beta of a game (rightfully so). Same applies here...Think of the demonstration as a "beta" of the device.In the wired video you even hear the guy say (not an exact quote)

That shows that even the guys at Wired understand that the software may not be 100% ready. It was just a barebones presentation to show you what is possible.

Just like to point out both sony and microsoft products are made in china as there main hub to start with. 

To the topic at hand as someone who is getting a ps4 and not a xbox one, this is reaching out to say it's clunky and choppy it's an early build she even says it so lets wait and see the final build, but the truth is there that the stage demo was fake and i'm still not convince if you have commands surely if 2 people are speaking about something and one says a codeword for the machine surely this is going to turn it over or what ever.

All the console UIs are clunky. God forbid if I have to type something.

Just noticed what everyone else saw, with the conference with his hand in his pocket and claiming it to be so fast, and i've just realised that yes it was faked and yes when it is released it will never be as fast as what he clearly tries to tell you, as i have just thought the moment he says a command the mili-second after it's straight up and nothing can be that fast, esp the whole star trek trailer part i mean you have to take into consideration that the x1 will have to get onto the webbroswer and then find the website and even on my great pc with a great internet connection it's still slightly slow having to find it. so that's a missconception from him, i really do hate these smoke and mirrors.

and to say that it's an all in one console when it clearly isn't because your going to have to keep your 360 and arcade part and have a cable box and once you run out of space which you will installing every game at 24gb or more, and then having to get an external harddrive, is beyond a joke to be honest.

If you watch the video, there is only one scene where you can see at the same time woman giving voice controls and the console responding to it.

Not getting an One, but I'm sure they'll get the UI under control. I'd be more concern for the hardware;s reliability if I were a MS fan.
