Great post OP. This is a very handy comparison to have. Putting myself in the shoes of someone foolish enough to buy a console at launch, both consoles were neck-to-neck until the last two boxes. At the end of the day, games matter.

Video recording time suggests thats the max you can record when thats not true. Those time limits are how long the consoles will automatically record at all times.

Also was the 1000 friends limit confirmed? Because MN suggested its 4000.

man there is alot of info in there I had no idea about. Wifi direct I had no idea it had that or what it was but now that I researched it it sounds awesome.

I'd still get a PS4 as the One is not supported in my country.

PS4 is a much better deal. TBH the exclusives for both consoles aren't that appealing. I don't really want anything on the X box One's list while on the PS4 I kinda want KSF (if only because I liked Killzone 2) and I have faith in Knack. Both aren't a system seller for me though. If anything I would get a PS4 for all the good multiplats like Watch Dogs, The Division, That Ubisoft Driving Game, and Destiny. Next gen is a bit lackluster on the games though, considering I can pick up 2/4 on current gen consoles

Ps3 - CELL

360 - Xenon

PS4 AND X1 = x86-64

So the most powerfull and simpler console wins the multiplat department (dat eSRAM on the X1 doesnt make it more simple)

rofl ps3 and xbox had the same power, while ps3 had better cpu it was difficult to program for, but 360 had better gpu, this gen they have the almost identical architechture so the difference will be based solely on power. Have fun playing games at 20 fps on your underpowered console.

The power difference wasn't a substantial one, unlike the PS4-One difference, on second thought, the X360 had advantages of it's own; the Unified Shader Architecture, Unified RAM etc, in contrast, it seems that the One has no hardware advantages over PS4.

I dont mind 30fps, and if the PS4 is capped at 30fps i will have less framedrops than the X1 version and can have a better AA solution or better visual effects.
