Xbox One's Cuphead: Lifetime Exclusive on Xbox for console space

Like last gen with Xbox Live arcade? Well until Journey of course.

I admit I only know CupHead by name but after watching gameplay on YouTube, wow, I'm digging the art style and gameplay. I like the throwback to classic cartoons and I don't think that's been done in a videogame before, not sure, but I like it. ID@Xbox has been bringing it lately. They killed last gen and they continue to kill it this gen. And the best part is they have expanded their gaming ecosystem so more could enjoy these wonderful titles.

Well thats true only true gamers account indies,no matter what side they are on.

There are 2 kinds of indies as well,and i think that is the reason for the increment in great indies this gen to,many of those indies studios were compose of programmers and coders with little experience making games,but many indies this gen are made from ex employees from big studios,take Tequila Works for example,compose of ex Blizzard,sony and mercury steam or hello games which is compose of ex Criterium,EA and Kuju there are many studios like this,and some fanboys don't get it sure while there are many indie developer with little experience some are indies because of the studio status,but are compose from ex employees from bigger houses,take for example the studio that MS close and the one sony close recently as well,i am sure many will get work on bigger studios other will not be so lucky and probably wonder until joining a small indie team or forming one.

Those are great because they push more for gameplay and enjoyment than anything else.

Take Ori and the blind forest for example is quite a fantastic game.

i would rather wait until i get my wife a Ps4 to replace her Ps3 (which is inevitable) besides, like i said , there are a LOT of indie titles i wan to play on the Ps4.

Don't get me wrong, i love gaming on PC but only particular games. i am playing Dawn of war 2 at the moment and i am trying to get my hands on Prison architect and Riot: civil unrest.

Much better choice is always subjective.

I don't do the 'Xbocks is better than BSstation' i am primarily a console gamer and it doesn't matter to me which console as long as it has games i want to play on it and this gen thats both consoles.

True, I should have clarified as in best performance and graphics, not necessarily better for you personally. I am a console gamer first and foremost so we are on the same page there.

@tormentos: ori is a beautiful game, even my wife who doesn't play much besides minecraft loved it and the music is top notch

By watching videos of course. They are not going for photo realism in models or textures. This game should run way better than QB.

I'm curious about the game. Art style is amazing but this is the kind of game where gameplay must be close to flawless. But when it comes to indies Below is in the top of my list, but it's taking forever to release.

Definitely have my eyes on this game. Looks cool as s***.

Hopefully the gameplay is just as cool.

One has to wonder why so many games flop on the PSflop and the Xflop, and yet so many people continue to buy them and play them. Yum, flopolicious.

Nice multiplat, Xbone continues with having no games.

I hope they release Flophead this summer....there is an exclusive dry spell now after the release of Quantum Flop. This game is based on cartoons before our time, but it just looks so much fun in a unique artistic style.

This is one of those games that stood out when it was revealed last year. I'm looking forward to it.

If it's not a AAA shooter I'm not interested ... cuphead looks like a game made for the indiestation 4 I have no idea why anyone would play this.

I'll let you Cows/Lemms figure out if Indie games matter to you, all I care is playing Cuphead day one and despite I'm a Anime lover, I also happen to like cartoons from the 30's, 40's 50's, and and this is coming from a guy who happens to enjoy Disney's classic cartoons growing up in the 90's. Cuphead also shares some of the art-styles from Who Frame Roger Rabbit movie.

Then you have no quality of taste for old school cartoons. GTFO you foolish shooter gamer you :P

I love AAA games, multiplatform games and indie games. I think they all work in favor of the PSflop and Xflop. To me a game is a game. No reason to discount a game because it costs less to buy, or less to make or is smaller in gigabytes. What matters is that the game is fun, that you enjoy it, that it is memorable, and that seems to make sense considering one of our hobbies is playing games.

I loved lower budget games like Ori & the Blind Forest, Journey, and Until Dawn. I also love the Halo's and the Uncharted's. But I also love the Battlefields and the Call of Duty's. Rehashes of Qbert and Pacman? Sign me up. I play what I love and enjoy. I think that is how the majority of gamers feel.

Yeah, judging by what I've read on this forum, some of you were alive when those cartoons were released. Great for you.

Me? I was like ten when Halo came out on the Xbox. That's what I grew up with.

I know that Xbox fans have always enjoyed indie games. There is a reason that we had 4027 indie game to choose from on the Xbox 360. Some awesome ones, some good ones, and some downright shitty ones (fart games).

On Xbox 360 and Xbox One, indies always mattered.

I was only pointing out if you are that type of person who still enjoys watching classic cartoons, then this game would be for that gamer to enjoy. For me, I hope it turns out well and looking forward to playing it, I like the art-style it has going for.

I really like the look of this. I'll definitely grab it on PC at release.

I've had my eyes on this game for a few years. It seems to look and play amazing, kudos to Microsoft for making their dreams a reality. Now we just need a concrete release date. It better not delay to 2017.
