[QUOTE="Gaming_Guru_Guy"][QUOTE="obamanian"]Honestly? probably a 5.I'd get my flame shield up if I were you. A 5?!? lol!! Someone knows nothing about games. I'd give Xbox 360's 2009 linup at least a 7.5 for now as there has to be even better games that we haven't seen yet. The PS3 has a nice exclusive lineup as well, but I have a feeling several titles (like FF XIII) will slip into 2010. GT5 and God of War 3 couldn't easily move into 2010. I'm getting excited about Killzone 2, Infamous and White Knight though. Even though WKC didn't score that well in Japan, chances are good that Level 5's White Knight Chronicles will be improved by the time is hits the states. I'll give the PS3 a 7.0 only because there aren't as many must have titles for it right now. Heavy Rain is just an interactive movie (Dragon's Lair?). I haven't heard anything about new JRPG's for the PS3. I want another Brave Fencer Mushashi or Front Mission game for the PS3. I'm going to have to pick up Valkyria Chronicles just to hold me over. Sony use to be JRPG king on the PS2, but they lost a lot of great RPG's to Nintendo and Microsoft. What would you rate that 360 lineup in 2009 out of 10 ?

[QUOTE="Nike_Air"]You might be right , but I don't see too many things that I am really interested in at this present time. Alan Wait , Splinter Cell Conviction , and .....
blackace
I feel the same way about the PS3. There are about 4-5 exclusive games on the PS3 coming out in 2009 that I want to play (White Knight, InFamous, God of War 3, Killzone 2 & FF XIII VS).
I'm interested in all these games on the XBox 360 in 2009. If you think people aren't interested and many of these titles, you're crazy.
Mass Effect 2
Chronicles of Riddick
Precursors
fallout 3 Exclusive DLC
Star Ocean IV
Halo Wars
Halo 3: ODST
Splinter Cell Conviction
GTA IV: DLC
Forza 3
Blue Dragon 2
Severity
Dragon Age
Dues Ex 3
Bioshock 2
Beyond Good & Evil 2
So what you're saying is there are about 4-5 exclusive games on the 360 coming out in 2009 that you want to play.
I said it before and ill say it again, MS probably has some deal with EA and they wont let ME go to another console The developers of KUF2 already confirmed it like 8 times that it isnt coming to the 360 I just find it sad that Cows have little confidence in their 09 line upLooks like Mass Effect and it's sequels are likely coming to PS3 given EA bought up Bioware.

And the links the OP used to claim that Mass Effect and Kingdom Under Fire II aren't coming to PS3 are old as hell.

They don't. Microsoft had exclusive publishing rights until EA bought Bioware. EA then worked out a deal with Microsoft where EA would have publishing rights.
Hence the PC port is published by EA.
They can port it legally no problem, and knowing EA, they probably will.
And, I have plenty of confidence with the 2009 line-up.
For example, Killzone 2 currently has a 97 on Metacritic.
And I'll probably buy a 360 around March so I'm not really a Sony fanboy either.

What deal? Do you have any actual proof that M$ had a deal for ME or the sequels? No, because these are just rumours like the ones saying ME will come to the PS3. The only deal we know about is the rights for M$ publish ME for the 360.
By your logic, Microsoft probably had some special exclusive deal with 2K and Bioshock. I mean, there's no way that's coming to PS3, right?
People were using the same arguments to claim that there was no way in hell Bioshock was going to the PS3.
You don't know Microsoft had a special exclusive deal, and EA isn't going to be willing to make Mass Effect 2 exclusive because Microsoft has only exclusive rights to publishing the first one - which they by the way gave to EA anyways.

Right...I'm sure MS said, Here ya go EA, Take the publishing rights and do what you want with one of our top games:roll:Do you even think when you talk? This is MS we are talking about, they arent stupid and they worked out a deal with EA
They also had exclusivity before EA bought Bioware which still stands
Like I said before when one company buys another they inherit EVERYTHING, Including debts, contracts and other deals, and that includes whatever deal MS had with Bioware
Even if it was just for publishing rights, Again its only fair to assume MS worked out something with EA prior to handing over the Publishing rights
No, they didn't just give it to them.
Microsoft probably made a lot of money off of it.
Microsoft doesn't give a flying **** about exclusives unless it makes them cash. And they found more money to be made by selling EA publishing rights.
EA wouldn't be willing to do an exclusive type deal - it's proven that games make more money as multi-platforms than as exclusives. Hence third party exclusive support is dying. And given EA cares about money more than anything, it's not surprising they would port it over.

Exclusivity cannot possibly stand when the game is on the PC. Also, Bioshock.
MS never had any deal with 2K with Bioshock at all They paid for ME development, they had exclusive rights to the game, so when EA buys Bioware they take everything with it including debt, deals and contracts which include MS deal with Bioware for the entire trilogyBy your logic, Microsoft probably had some special exclusive deal with 2K and Bioshock. EA and Microsoft had a settlement, one which gave EA publishing rights. Any other things that might have been agreed on are unknown if they even exist. Quit stating speculation as fact.

There, EA owns the IP to Mass Effect.
Deal with it, I know it hurts to know another precious 360 exclusive is going to the PS3, but prepare for it.
Doesnt matter if they own the IP MS have exclusive rights to the games in exchange for the publishing rights Mass Effect wont ever be on any other console, EA cant legally do it And even if they could ( which they cant ) Im sure a bit of $ from MS will change that[QUOTE="Angstx-"][QUOTE="Lcamm"]Again EA cant port the game just like that, MS has rights to it, they have had rights to it since they paid for the games development and since it was announced back a few years ago MS has dibs on the series BeerChuggerxHoly. ****. Did you ignore my entire damn post? They don't have the rights to it. Period. Bioware does. They had -publishing- rights. They sold those to EA in a settlement deal after EA ate up Bioware. Hence the PC port. We'll see in March, and if it is indeed confirmed, I will you remember this.

There is no evidence of a deal. MS gave away the publishing rights.Silverbond
Even though Bioware has confirmed 3 times that ME2 will remain PC/360 only ?
And you are actually wrong, MS allowed EA to publish the game on PC, they do have a deal, otherwise why did they not release it on PS3 as well ? Or announce it at least ?
As with most 360 games, the deal is involving MS systems, most games go to 360, then are allowed to PC, and PC only, that isexactly the case with ME
Looks like Mass Effect and it's sequels are likely coming to PS3 given EA bought up Bioware.

And the links the OP used to claim that Mass Effect and Kingdom Under Fire II aren't coming to PS3 are old as hell.
Angstx-
Sorry, but Mass Effect 2 has been confirmed PC/360 only noumerous times, AFTER EA bought Bioware, so it is just never happening
Also about KUF2, the article is a few months back, how is it ... old ? BTW here is a brand new one

'Kingdom Under Fire II' (X360/PC) Reveals New Hero
Kingdom Under Fire II is aiming for 2009/2010 release and will be available worldwide on both PC Online and X360.
Those games are confirmed many times PC/360 only, so rumors about PS3 versions are just fiction
