Xenoblade vs. The Last Story

JRPGs!!

Out of the three (Xeno, TLS, and Pandora's) I'm mostly excited for TLS. It just seems more interesting than Xenoblade. Pandora's Tower as well, and that better get a USA release.

Basedgod says that Xenoblade is better, by a longshot.

Though, the basedgod admits that he is only a few hours into The Last Story. While Xenoblade has a 2nd half that doesnt carry the same impact as the first, the basedgod is keen to see how The Last Story unfolds in front of the basedgods eyes.

Edit: oh um, the basedgod apologises to the TC in that he didnt really read the thread properly. I already own both games thanks to the generousity and brevity of Australias PAL localization. The basedgod apologises in advance if I killed your hype for the Last Story.

I thought Xenoblade was fantastic.
The Last Story was great but I couldnt help picking at it because it couldve been so much more.

I ordered Xenoblade the other day but I'm not sure about TLS yet. Most people say Xenoblade is the better game, but I like the sound of the group of mercenaries story, and have heard the characters and story are quite good so I'll probably pick it up later.

Xenoblade by MILES. The last story was good but holy hell was that game overhyped. I had high expectations for both but Xenoblade has to be one of the best RPG's I've played this gen.

Xenoblade was horrible IMO, do not care about last story ATM :S

Xenoblade has a much larger scale, more content, better customization (gameplaywise, you can equip your characters with up to 8 skills as well as gems) and better soundtrack.
The Last Story has a EXTREMELY good pacing, very little filler, better combat, better character customization (appearancewise, I mean I coloured all the males in my group pink) and so far a less cheesy storyline.

Overall I prefer The Last Story.

More interested in Xenoblade (have it pre-ordered), but will likely buy TLS day one as well.

I'm going to get both games.

Xenoblade loved it so much more than last story. My game of the year for 2011.:D

I'll go with Xenoblade for right now

have seen a lot of vids/news on xenoblade n it looks like my kind of game

have not seen or heard of one thing on the last story

i do know the last story is by the final fantasy creator but thats where my knowlege ends

I want both, but I'm a bit more excited for The Last Story.

Finally a reason to dust of my Wii.

Put my interest back into The Last Story. Read the review and the story just sounds better.

I want both, but am more interested in Xenoblade. I enjoyed Monolithsoft's work with Xenosaga, and apparently Xenoblade is more polished and generally a better game. Also, the plot and art style of Last Story irritates me for some unknown reason.

But I certainly will get both at some point :D

All that effort to get the games localised, and they end up on the Wii. Have fun playing it on your HDTVs with blurry sprites and jagged edges.

The Last Story gameplay is more to my liking. Not a fan of the main character attacking by himself.

Sadly looks like i may end up missing on both or all 3 of them if pandora tower ends up coming.. still hope the fans and all JRPG players to enjoy such epic games

One is release in April, the other in the summer. I haven't bought any new games this year except Xenoblade. I'll have plenty of time.
