That's how he gets his ratings (or in this case..hits?)...by making dumb statements...
Sure i'ts not the best game of 2008 if you ask me, but it definately isn't the worst sequel.
Looks like Yahtzee isn't always wrong. BioShockOwnzMGS4 was awesome, just because you cant appreciate what makes the series so amazing to fans doesnt mean it sucks. In fact, im willing to bet that if you played all the MG games, youll think 3 is the best:? On the other hand, people are getting worked up over trash like CoD4, horrible SP and shallow MP, kids these days, dont know how to respect a franchise, i bet if they played CoD2 they would think the SP was too non-linear:?

Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2 would like to have a word with you...
Even if you don't like MGS4, atleast it is somewhat diffrent from MGS3. LV2 isn't any diffrent from LV, and it isn't even as good. It's a pretty good deinfition of a terrible sequel.
this coulden't stay in one thread? I hate yahtzee anyway hes just a hater and hates on everything...how bout he make a game so we can crap on itSunamaruHe's made several games already. They are pretty good if you're into point'n'click adventure, however, I think you're to close minded to like them, no offense, dude.
What now Cows, first Eurogamer did the real reviews, then ZP, and now neither? FirstDiscoveryWhat now?? You mean you are taking this seriously? Didn't you know Zero punctuation is all in good fun, it's supposed to be funny.
What now Cows, first Eurogamer did the real reviews, then ZP, and now neither? FirstDiscoveryYeah and everything was a-ok before MGS4 got AAAA, and GOTY. Now all of a sudden its lemspot. Everything a cow does, a lem does it just as bad. Fanboys smh

Didn't you know Zero punctuation is all in good fun, it's supposed to be funny.Yes but he actually thinks hes qualified to review games. I mean anyone can have an opinion, but the reason why reviewers get paid to do that is because they have years of experience in not only gaming but specific genres too, so they know what they can hold up a game against Like most people who liked Bioshock never played a something like Deus Ex or SS1/2, the game sucks, but doesnt stop the kids from getting all hyped up about a lame twist that even a blind person could see from a mile off
Looks like Mercenaries 2 doesn't exist, but whatever. It's Yahtzee. Lab392
Good point. He even gave it a really harsh review, more so than MGS4. Everything he says is a tired cliche at this point. I can pretty much sum up the Prince of Persia review, and I havn't even watched it, I'm that confident I know what he will say. It stops being funny when you know exactly what's going to be said, espically when the actual humour fails to impress, which is most of the time now. It annoys me when I see people talk about Yatzhee as if he says it like it is, when in reality he's most likely making fun of the people who would be saying these things in the first place.
how many sequels were there this year? Resistance 2, Gears 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, GTAIV? That it? If so, it's not saying a lot to say that. it was a great year for sequels. I think MGS4 is arguably the only one in that group where many people feel the story took backwards steps. I think most agree that: R2 > R1 Gears 2 > Gears 1 Fallout 3...well...nevermind. Fable 2 > Fable 1 GTAIV >= the others so...again, it doesn't surprise me much. for me: MGS3 = MGS1 > MGS4 = MGS2. Dreams-VisionsI agree with this. MGS3 is the best of the series.
[QUOTE="Toriko42"]He lost all credibility when he gave Saints Row 2 GOTYReaperV7he had credibility in the first place?? :? ...news to me..... I think he brings up some good points at times, even more so than GS, IGN, GT and any sell out review site, however, I do not agree with everything he says, not even close.
[QUOTE="YellowFIash"]This guy is an overrated joke.Stoner-PimpJust like MGS4, Zing!!!. and Halo, Gears of War, Bioshock, Grand Theft Auto IV, etc

Most people seem to agree that MGS3 is the best MGS now, which is odd. Just a few months ago the majority would have said MGS1. I wonder if this is a pattern type thing realted to the frequency of releases. I don't think many ever thought 2 was the best, too many people whiney about Raiden, so perhaps it's simply the case that MGS1 held it's place even when MGS3 was released (Poor MGS2, nobody ever loved you.). Now that MGS4 has been released it seems to be the case that MGS3 is the most popular MGS. If there is to be an MGS5 then it may be likely MGS4 will become the most popular MGS. This seems to quite common with video game series...

MGS3 has the most basic storylines yet people like it more than the others, unfortunately the majority of people arent true fans of the seriesI agree with this. you can't go wrong with either MGS3 or MGS1. I had them as equals. But I think MGS3 was the more memorable one for me. The boss fights were some of the best ever in gaming. The music score, unforgettable. The motorcycle chase scene delivered. The final with The Boss? eye-watering. the story, well told. but MGS1 was the first for many. I'm going to pick up Twin Snakes soon, just to play it again with better graphics and cut-scenes. but really, can't go wrong with either.[QUOTE="WasntAvailable"][QUOTE="IronBass"] I agree with this. Also, given that MGS1 was so great for its time, a lot of the VA today just sounds silly and forced, TT corrected that. MGS1 on PSone is still the best, but TT is a worthy remake[QUOTE="WasntAvailable"][QUOTE="IronBass"] I agree with this. MGS3 is the best of the series.FirstDiscovery
