The ps3 is more advanced, its not a matter of opinion, blu ray, the cell. But thats not to say its the better console.

Those are maximums if every shader is used for vertex and none are pixel shaders. Its completely meaningless. The PS3 has x amount of shaders for vertex and x amount for pixel. 360 has unified shaders so the 48 can be used for whatever the dev wants at any given time. @500 Million Triangles per second that is going to be 1 ugly game.
