I never thought this game looked that interesting myself. I've never actually cared for the whole yarn thing.

btw guys this site gave Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze a 6/10 and that game is far from being terrible.

Its probably because the guy that did it sucked at playing that game.
I'm sure you guys are just as sympathetic about the scores given to drive club. What is it you call it? Oh yeah. 5club.
Scores you like are correct and scores you don't are wrong. Hmm.
@locopatho: Yeah yeah it flopped and all that but have you read this review? They docked it's visuals of all things and said the controls were "too good"
Not saying they're biased but man it did seem they were reaching
He never said the controls were too good, you made that up.
The graphics stuff was minor and well explained: "With everything rendered as though it was knitted together, some of the smaller details are sacrificed" "That goes for Yoshi too; Some of his animation flourishes seem like excellent ideas on paper [...] however, they are unexplained and seem out of place." Basically he felt the style was mostly good but had a couple of flaws. That's just honest criticism, he doesn't sound like he is "reaching" to me.
The major points were that this game is way too straightforward, easy and basic in gameplay and level design. Forget the "flopped" System Wars crap, do you get why I was so underwhelmed by this game and why I said the Sheep who were hyping it have low standards? This type of thing goes on store shelves next to Bloodbourne and The Witcher 4, for the same price, and Sheep pretend it's cool that Nintendo release a dull, mediocre SNES rehash as a full price 8th gen game. I'm just trying to understand why? Is it really that unthinkable to just admit how fucking poor many Nintendo games have been lately?
@locopatho: some of them yes. Then again seeing you go off on good games like splatoon makes it seems like you don't have a filter
For reference, this got a higher score than Yoshi's Story (this game's spiritual predecessor).
How did Yoshi's Story only get a 5.3? It had a few issues, but I was playing that again last year and it still held up well.

Stating Splatoon is more than 10 years behind in online features and lacks content compared to other online games is fact, not opinion, and tons of reviews mentioned it and docked points for it. I'm right about that, and to quote Doctor Cox "I'm the only one that's got any proof". But again, the Sheep go ballistic and defend defend defend and deny everything and wallow in their own shit rather than just say "Yeah, shoulda had voice chat and a few more maps".
I still don't understand it. I suppose I never will. Oh well. *continues ignoring the increasing pile of poor WiiU games* I hope ye enjoy them. I think I'm going to replay SNES Yoshi's Island, and remember a time when Nintendo made truly great games on a regular basis.
@locopatho: its one thing to think a game should've had this or that but guess what, it ended up being great regardless.
@LJS9502_basic: to be fair there were two other sites that scored it the same. Still an outlier but not as much as they usually are
@locopatho: its one thing to think a game should've had this or that but guess what, it ended up being great regardless.
Glad you like it. Do you think it should have launched with voice chat and comparable amount of maps to other online shooters?
@locopatho: lol apparently alot of other sites liked it despite of all the stuff that was missing at launch. Does this upset you that they came out with a quality game?
@locopatho: its one thing to think a game should've had this or that but guess what, it ended up being great regardless.
dont mind loco...he is upset it just as good as battlefield and cod....the only shooters he has for xbox and shitstation.

You didn't answer the question, and just went into "defense mode" throwing accusations at me. It's interesting. Sheep literally flatly refuse to admit flaws in a Nintendo game, even when it's a simple fact that the game would be better if the flaws were fixed.
It's very interesting. There's a whole religious thing going on here. It's like when you point out biblical contradictions to devout Christians and they just stare at you blankly. Their mind flatly refuses to process facts that they can't handle emotionally.
As for me, I'm glad Splatoon's gameplay mechanics are fun. It literally took half a year for WiiU to get a great game, so gratz to you guys for finally having something to play.

I haven't played COD since 2011 and never liked Battlefield, I just get sniped or bombed by jets before I can even understand what's going on. Keep lying though, your buffoonery does lighten the mood.
@locopatho: I didn't dodge jack shit, the converstation was about the overall quality of the game, not features. Don't start shifting goalposts.

yup...why cant he just admit he was wrong? splatoon was a terrifc new shooter for the genre.
nintendo succeeded.
i guess it pains him to admit voice chat doesnt make or break a game.

You said it's great. I didn't disagree, the reviews all say it is. I then asked you "Do you think it should have launched with voice chat and comparable amount of maps to other online shooters?" So, do you?
@KBFloYd: he was also wrong about 3d world and called it a handheld port. But then again that's neither here nor there seeing as its one of the best games this gen

he wants nintendo to be an xbox/playstation clone...so he hates on everything nintendo so that they will change.
it's sad really.
yup...why cant he just admit he was wrong?
Happy to oblige my favourite crazy sheep! I said it looked like a 6/10 game to me before it released, I was indeed wrong about that, it turned out to be an 8/10 game. Anything else I can help you with?

so you admit its a great game but you still wont buy it? thats what shinobishyguy is saying. you hating on the game just to hate.
they added like 3 or 4 maps already and 6 weapons
so you admit its a great game but you still wont buy it? thats what shinobishyguy is saying. you hating on the game just to hate.
It's a great game with very lacking features and content. I refuse to reward that with my money. At no point did I say I hate the game. That's just you lying again.
Look, the only way Nintendo will ever improve and cut the bullshit is if gamers stop rewarding them when they **** around. When you reward them for not having voice chat, they shrug and say "well **** voice chat then!". When you reward them by buying this crap Yoshi game, they shrug and say "well **** making a game as good as Yoshi's Island on SNES, the idiots will buy anything with the Yoshi logo on it!"
That's why I'm trying to understand the Sheep mindset. By blindly accepting and defending everything Nintendo do, you simply drag down the quality of everything. If you had standards and refused to accept Nintendo's backwardness, they'd be forced to improve. But ye don't, ye swallow the filth happily, and so Nintendo can be literally a decade behind, to the detriment of their games. Splatoon is 81 on Meta, "Great", it could have been a freaking 95 mindblowing title if it's flaws (which you guys still refuse to even allow exist) were fixed though.
I repeat: I just don't get it.
@locopatho: lol by flat out refusing to buy splatoon your sending them the message to not make new IPs. Suddenly the chances of a sequel that improves on those issues you have are reduced

dont give me that...i see all kinds of bad games like drive club, killzone, destiny, master cheif collection and knack selling millions. but where is the consumer morals there?
fact is no one cares. people buy just to buy. or maybe they like the game or who knows.
all your doing spewing hate on a game because you still havnt even played it. just going by youtube videos and videogame review scores.
look....
the wiiU is selling horrible....if the NX isnt something great then youll realize your little boycott messages dont mean anything to them.
they know what everyone is saying about voice chat and party chat and achievements. fact is... nintendo does whatever they feel like. thats one thing i learned.
just buy the games you like and be happy. if you think splatoon is a good game then just buy it because nintendo dont listen.
@locopatho: lol by flat out refusing to buy splatoon your sending them the message to not make new IPs. Suddenly the chances of a sequel that improves on those issues you have are reduced
So, your answer is swallow the shit, and hope that next time it's chocolate ice cream? No thanks. It's not my job to fund Nintendo's backwards decisions and designs. It's their job to convince me they have made a game worthy of my time and money. Splatoon did not convince me.
I look forward to the next time I can buy and play a worthy WiiU game. Looks like that will be Xeno in December, though Fatal Frame looks promising.
@KBFloYd
I'm not saying I'll change the world. I'm just trying to figure out you guys mentality of refusing to even acknowledge any flaws. It's weird. If you just said "Yeah voice chat and more maps would be nice, but **** it, the game is awesome anyway :D" I'd understand totally. But ye don't do that. Hence, me confused :)
"spewing hate"? - Why do you lie so much? I don't hate Splatoon.
"your little boycott messages dont mean anything to them" - The vast majority of gamers are boycotting them, that DOES mean a hell of a lot, their console is collapsing because gamers like me are unimpressed.
"just buy it" - No.
@locopatho: and here we are right back to you equating splatoon to shit
*rubs temples*
It's a metaphor, or saying. "Don't feed me shit and call it chocolate ice cream" I didn't call Splatoon shit. Jesus.
Right, I'm ACTUALLY going to play Yoshi's Island now. PEACE!
So I take it you don't own any ps4 or xbox games, yet.
Yeah, we all knew it would only be ok at best. I haven't even watched any reviews, but all the previews looked like a great art style wasted on a shell of what could have been a great game.
Oh well, at least Yoshis Island exists... lol.
I know people want to see Retro do their own thing, but after what they did with DKC I'd love to see them take a crack at a true Yoshis Island sequel.
@LegatoSkyheart: Gotta pad that holiday release schedule. Why release during a time when game releases are light? just let it get buried in the fall. Ugh dur...
