How unfortunate, I think it's looks pretty amazing. Hopefully, it's not all style, although that seems to be the case.

The Nintendo Defense Force came out in full and you stood tall. Enjoy that game, you've earned it. And believe me, it wasn't you looking unreasonable.

@superbuuman: I'm the opposite. Loathed as I am to suggest they make yet another Mario 2D platformer but if they'd made a proper 2D mario (an actually challenging game) with this style I'd think it would be genuinely charming.

That sucks. After watching the gameplay vid. in the review, I'm not surprised. It reminds me a lot of Yoshi's New Island which is a very average bland game by itself. It doesn't hold a candle to Yoshi's Island or Yoshi's Island DS (two of the very best 2D platformers I ever played). I still don't understand why Nintendo had to sacrifice Yoshi by turning it into a lame kiddie brand given the sacred reputation of the first game. You'd think the last thing Nintendo would do now is alienate long term fans given their current situation.

Yet you buy COD and Tales rehashes day one.

On topic: shame that Yoshi can't get another killer game but this score is not terribly surprising. The game looks decent but that's about it. I wouldn't spend more than twenty bucks on it and I'm not even sure about that.

Previews were so positive.... wonder what happened. :/
