I like that you have to put a disclaimer before every thread, though I can see why, most people are sick of seeing the game. Its a big step up from the rubbish catacalysm opening thats for sure. I still can't take panda's seriously, it was a joke back in Warcraft III, now its Pandas and BAD Pokemon. Won't be day 1, and thats the first time I said that for WoW.MBirdy88You think I am obsessed with the game? NO, and I've never been very impressed with the game itself or MMOs in general. It's just that there are redeeming qualities at Blizzard, and cinematic is one of them.
This is why I put a disclaimer as a part of every thread title related WoW: Because I know that there are people who'll never return to it, like me.
The Panda in the trailer has better graphics and details than the one in your avatar. I know it hurts, but it is a truth that Blizzard's CG team kick ass.Looking forward to it :)

It does, visually speaking. You are trying to undermine Blizzard's ability at making awesomely detailed visual. Of course this is CG, as in Blizzard's tradition.nothing special. Just CG, there are gazilllion CGs out there and this one doesn't really stand out.

The game is still a thempark MMO, though. It is the epitome of themepark MMO and I have no interest returning to it.That is a pretty good trailer and does a good job setting the tone for the game.
Blizzard's trailers are great and this is no exception.

I just love the Asian music and visual style. That is all.
why pandas? martial arts pandas? I was never into WOW but it seems dumb also we already have Kung Fu Panda, CGI was damn good though.

Don't get me wrong. I admit, it's good looking, after all it has the blizzard high budget touch on it. I'm saying it's not impressive to me, not exactly awe inspiring. Again, this is my personal take on it, I'm not asking you to change your opinion on it.

While WoW is the best themepark out atm, there are mmos that go way more to the linear themeparky extreme than WoW. The fact is WoW is the only themepark where I could bring myself to play up to the level cap. EQ2 came close, though.
And yes, the eastern asian inspired setting is one of the most intriguing aspects of this expansion.

I know it hurts, but it is a truth that Blizzard's CG team kick ass. lol, kung-fu panda is a feature length film, its over 1 hour do you know how much time and money goes into making it? this is just a 3 minute trailer so they can make it more detailed and spend more time in more areas. Also you do know the real game isn't going to look like this right? CGI trailers are cool but I stop going crazy for them when I was 16.[QUOTE="tenaka2"]
Looking forward to it :)

As the title suggests, it's difficult to hate the visual in the trailer.
Also, Blizzard should convert into a full time animation studio because they are better at animation than game design, my opinion of course.

dude, its a 3 minute trailer with no dialogue and its all action. Infact thats all of blizzards cgi trailers. calm downI find it funny what a difference is between Blizzard games' CGI and in-game graphics.
Almost like going from Toy Story to N64 graphics (may be exaggerated but not all that much).

Eh, generally for FF CGs they care. But are you trying to undermine Blizzard?
*Kung Fu Panda 3 comment #123623*
Anyways, the trailer tells me that I'm going to a beautiful place called Pandaria and that there are pandas.
What the Hell do I do when I'm there? Fight the Alliance/Horde as usual? Meh. Fight pandas? Seems kind of...unwarranted.
The visuals are excellent, but the trailer's bad.

No, Blizzard have exceptional CG. I just think it's redundant to talk about it here

Thank you for the explanation. Please bear in mind that I have no interest in this game or any upcoming MMOs.I also actually think that it is disappointing that Blizzard are adamant at not pushing the in-game graphical bar. It must be frustrating to be an in-game artist at Blizzard.
Blizzards CG team has never failed to blow my mind with its amazing work, but as far as getting me interested in the game, nope. As someone who would mark down WOW as "The second greatest video game of all time" right after Starcraft OF COURSE, so you know I love the game. But I fear the skilled developers left the WOW team to start work on the secret Titan MMO project, and the guys keeping WOW patched right now are the "B" team. Then with GW2 coming, its the final nail in the coffin, and even if GW2 was not coming out I would go with Rift and its new expansion instead anyway. I have fond memories of raiding in a top 10 world ranked Rift guild from its release till we Stupidly! quit for SWTOR. I feel like Trion is underrated, they work there BUTTS off hard to patch and make the game what the fans want and there new expansion looks really good, you can see them progressing in skills since the release of the original. Anyway, WOW is in 3rd place in my mind at this current moment cause its just so old.
Great CGI but I think it was their worst opening CGI trailer for the WoW seriesNEWMAHAYI disagree. Visually it is the best. And that is all that matters.
They have literally dropped Kung Fu panda in there. The only difference is that visually its slightly darker and there is no Jack Black voice. Great piece of CGI but its Kung Fu panda... theres no escaping it haha.
Kung Fu Panda meets WoW. lol!! They could had made WoW IV and use Pandaria as a location for the game. Wow became too time consuming and too expensive at the time. Already almost 2 yrs I had to quit.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvYXoyxLv64&feature=player_embedded

i enjoyed the lighthearted tone of this trailer; probably indicates a shift of direction for the expansion content in contrast to Cata content.
Hopefully the new talent system will revamp competitive play/arenas, it's a mess as it is right now. Trailer was awesome though.
People wanted an asian theme. People wanted Pandaren in WoW. People wanted a monk class. Blizzard made an Asian themed expansion for the fans and also as a tribute to the Chinese players. Pandas are Chinese. Kung fu is a recurring theme in Chinese related media. Pandaren pre-date the kung-fu panda movies. Hope this clears up your questions.why pandas? martial arts pandas? I was never into WOW but it seems dumb also we already have Kung Fu Panda, CGI was damn good though.
