Your greatest single player experience this gen?

Mine would have to be the Mass Effect series :D

I've played TONS of MP this generation though, so I haven't played many games dedicated to SP.

That's a hard choice. I would still have to go with the first Bioshock. But honestly, it's so close, my choice could change in an hour depending on my mood.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised how much fun I had with HR.

Mass Effect. Followed by Uncharted 2 and Alan Wake.

I lost to impulse. I was going to wait for a $30 price tag. that went out the window.

oh well, on my 3rd playthrough, I think I got my money's worth.

Would have to be Oblivion, i just got a ton of hours out of it, almost to the point of unhealthy obsession.

I do dislike these "greatest" threads though as i get different things out of every game so there is no real greatest. /end rant

Luckily there is a guy that lives in our town that buys games new, doesnt play them or even open them, and then returns them the next day. So I got my new ME2 copy for a used price :D

bioshock, oblivion, mass effect, fallout 3, RDR, unchartedand GTA, i have had tons of fun with all kinds of single player games, even some goofy ones (or games that do not come to peoples minds at first)stood out to me like overlord, prototype, infamous, crackdown, fable, dirt 1and viking

Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Oblivion have been my top favorites.

Crysis, but Lost Planet and Mirrors Edge were great too.

Followed by MGS4. I've still got to finish Heavy Rain, and go through Assassin's Creed 2, GoWIII, Red Dead Redemption, and FFXIII. I've got some catching up to do.

For me it is a three way tie between Bioshock, Uncharted 2, and Alan Wake.

Mass Effect 2. Hopefully it will change to Mass Effect 3.

Halo 3 ( know all of the halo universe so far, was very good story if you understand it) bioshock, mass effect 2,

Uncharted 2. every level was just a complete adrenaline rush. there's no other game that's really had that same effect on me.
