Your thoughts on Final Fantasy XIV

I just want to hear what some people think about FFXIV. Discuss whatever you want, a few things to discuss are...

1: Possibility of Free to Play

2: The fact that there will be more emphasis on single player missions and quests to balance with the party component

3: The release date and how it is released around the same time as FFXIII

4: The possibility of it being released before FFVsXIII andFF Agito XIII(I dont think these were mentioned in any articles, its just my theory)

I'll only pick up the game if it has free online, which I highly doubt, Beyond that, I just think it's too soon to announce another sequel.

I'm actually looking forward to it. I mssed the whole FFXI train back in 2002/2003, so it should be fun to give this a go. Level grinding isn't much of a problem for me.

If it's an MMO, I'm not interested in the least.

I highly doubt it, they made it a MMO for that very reason to make money from monthly fees alongside FFXI. Infact not a chance.

Thats a good thing yes... FFXI was ridiculous in this aspect.

Good thing.. Now that SE can get the MMO trash quickly done with hopes that SE will shortly start making FFXV as a singleplayer only game.

Don't really care as it's a MMO. It might be a good game, I may even give it a go, but it will never be as good as the singleplayer FFs. Never. At the SE conference they said they where trying to make the best FF ever with FFXIV, it cannot be done with a MMO.

Also this will be on PC, PS3, and are looking into putting it on xbox 360. Sony WILL not pay for servers, YOU will.

I remember SE saying they wont be using PlayOnline Viewer with this game. I wonder why? Wonder what they will be using if anything.

I loved FFXI, it was a great experience and while I played it, it was as if every other JRPG created didn't matter.

So as for FFXIV... I'm going to love it. I'm going to buy it. I'm going to play it.
