Zelda OOT 3DS Eurogamer Review: 10/10

I disagree about MM, BUT it is a really hard title to review because there is not much wrong with it and me liking OoT over MM is more of an opinion on how things are done that it is a fact on what was better in OoT. MM is so close to a 10 but I dont think I can give it that :P.NaveedLife

I played them both at the same time without any previous Zelda experience. In my opinion, Majora's Mask was much better in terms of story, gameplay, and atmosphere. Plus that whole beginning section with the moon and the town is one of the strangest and most epic gaming intros I've ever played in my life.

Similarly to OOT 3DS Eurogamer review, it scored well because it was just good.

Similarly to OOT 3DS Eurogamer review, it scored well because it was just good.

I recently bought Doom and Heretic and they made me really nostalgic and I had a great time, but seriously objectively compared to todays standards they have no chance. Sure the level design is better than now but everything else is crap compared to today.

I do wish they had added in more new content, but I am at least glad that they chose not to mess with what was there. I mean as far as an updated version goes, it is awesome it would seem. But it would have been cool to have some new quest tacked on (maybe a small co-op one) for beating MQ, or getting all the skultulas (since that prize sucks originally lol). But I would rather them leave it out, then mess with the original game I think.

Still I think there is a difference between a port and a sequel.. OOT is a polished version of the original game, while DNF is a totally new game having to prove itselve (and failed in doing that apparantly) preitje

I am saying that someone with a zelda avatar/sig isnt necessarily a fanboy, just as someone like you, who has no mention of liking or playing Nintendo games, might also not be a fanboy. I found Twilight princess to be a let down. A great game no doubt and a welcome addition to the series, but just cause I love Zelda does not mean that I think Twilight Princess was perfect. I think Ocarina of Time is a better game on todays standards than Twilight Princess is. Now would I give OoT 3DS a 10? Maybe, I am not sure yet. I think at the very least it deserves a 9.5, but you could argue that the lack of new quests or whatever keeps it from getting a 10 now.

The only thing that makes sense there is that the music is not orchestrated. But hell I would take Ocarina of Times music over almost any other games music. not to mentiont he game does NOT need VA. It would actually make me mad if they did that to this classic. And as for graphics, this is the 3DS, not the Vita, not the PS3, not a PC. It looks pretty nice and they added a lot of detail that the originally did not have. Not too mention master quest, the boss mode, and a much better item management and HUD display solution.

So you think somehow adding voice acting makes the game so much more? :? VA is the least of any worries in a game. Also, the graphics are great for the 3DS. Music still has great melodies, and is some of the most memorable of all time. While yes, it would be nice to have them all orchestrated, it doesn't take away the experience of playing the game. The Final Credits song is orchestrated btw - not sure if that's what you were denying or not.
