yahtzee sucks though

i don't hate his reviews, but they're all the damn same thing

and freaking anyone could do what he does

all he ever does is state the obvious and make absurd comparisons

samusarmada

no i don't think so. This is perhaps the best imitation of what yahtzee does:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6XSpPIBvjN4.html

and even then you can tell that yahtzee is still clearly better by a fair way.

link don't work

funny how he only had to do this for ssbb fanboys but not for halo3 which he ripped to shreds without even trying its multiplayer. says alot about smash fans imo.

I stopped respecting this guy when he didn't know who Tom Morello is.

When you play a game that is based on guitars, and you bash Tom Morello for not being a "rock legend", your review is garbage.

Jedi_Shearstone

So you stopped respecting a video game reviewer just because he didn't know of a guitarist? Those two don't even really have anything to do with each other, in the long run.

And truthfully, Tom Morello isn't much of a legend of rock. I'm not saying he sucks but the decline from Slash to Tom Morello is pretty huge.

Tom Morello DESTROYS slash at guitar and is way more of a legend then him in evey way, shap and form....

Even though Yatzee bashed him, I still respect him from a gaming standpoint.

Morello's no legend he's way to effects heavy and his riffs are pretty simple and we all no the only true guitar legend is Brian May :P

I agree, I wouldn't name Tom Morello if someone asked me who was a great legend of rock. Slash & Brian May are way more interesting and skilled guitarists, in my opinion of course.

Good old Yahtzee, making a video to slam home a message that should have been perfectly clear in the Brawl review.

[QUOTE="O_Lineman17"]Why were any sheep mad at his first review? Seriously. I'm no sheep, but I love Brawl. I think that is one fun game. I laughed out loud at his brawl review, because he does point out obvious flaws in the game. If that spoils the experience for him, well then good for him, but I still love that game. His review won't change that. It's called an opinion people.subrosian

Certain people who claim to support "free speech" and "free thought" only really do so for ideas they agree with. They are, at heart, fascists, eager to beat down any idea that threatens their bubble. Ultimately these people, deep in their hearts and minds, fear that what Yahtzee says holds true for their own feelings, or fear opposing ideas - they lack self-confidence, and so are unable to live with the grim reality that people are divided about their game.

"But everyone says Brawl is great" - obviously "everyone" doesn't - but they're eager and willing to do anything it takes (so long as "anything" = whining on forums, emails, and youtube videos) to demerit the opposing viewpoint. It's absolutely pathetic to watch, and fills me with something resembling disgust.

-

Most Nintendo fans aren't like this - most of them were laughing and nodding along with everyone else, but Nintendo has always had a diehard contingent of people who, for whatever reason, have taken to fanatical Mario-worship, in a kind of blind devotion that makes the rest of us who enjoy Zelda, Metroid, and Mario, a bit ashamed to be associated.

i would sig this but its too large.

it reminds me of the TP incident and how i was ashamed to be a zelda fan amongst the rabid fanboys.

And truthfully, Tom Morello isn't much of a legend of rock. I'm not saying he sucks but the decline from Slash to Tom Morello is pretty huge.

When you review a game that is solely about the art of guitar, and you don't know Tom Morello and bash him, you lose most your credibility.

And saying Slash > Tom (I know you didn't say that exaclty, but still) is all a matter of opinion. They are completely different guitarists, Tom Morello is more interested in re-inventing ways to play the guitar with new techniques and modifactions. His portofolio is oustanding (Rage Agains the Machine, Audioslave, The **** producing and appearing in Anti-Flag, writing soundtracks for different movies like Iron Man and Dodgeball, etc.).

Yahtzee was a completely ignorant fool when he criticized Tom Morello. Anyone who considers themselves knowledgable in the genre of rock would know how influential Morello was. He was also rated the #26 best guitarist of all time in Rolling Stone magazine (that might not sound that impressive, but the amount of talented guitarists that emerged in the 70's alone is incredible, let alone up until present day. Slash wasn't even on the list...).

His brawl review was his worst tho. Who hates on a game for unlockables ??

the proffesional troll part was funny tho

Gh0st_Of_0nyx

You wouldn't be pissed off when you get the game and go to your friends house to play and then find out that you have to unlock other characters? It happened to me once with Tekken. I had all the characters unlocked and I took the game to my friends house, and was I in for a surprise when I realised that I left that damn memory card at my house. Luckily enough, there weren't many characters to unlock but I'm guessing Brawl has lots of them.
