[QUOTE="O_Lineman17"]Why were any sheep mad at his first review? Seriously. I'm no sheep, but I love Brawl. I think that is one fun game. I laughed out loud at his brawl review, because he does point out obvious flaws in the game. If that spoils the experience for him, well then good for him, but I still love that game. His review won't change that. It's called an opinion people.subrosian
Certain people who claim to support "free speech" and "free thought" only really do so for ideas they agree with. They are, at heart, fascists, eager to beat down any idea that threatens their bubble. Ultimately these people, deep in their hearts and minds, fear that what Yahtzee says holds true for their own feelings, or fear opposing ideas - they lack self-confidence, and so are unable to live with the grim reality that people are divided about their game.
"But everyone says Brawl is great" - obviously "everyone" doesn't - but they're eager and willing to do anything it takes (so long as "anything" = whining on forums, emails, and youtube videos) to demerit the opposing viewpoint. It's absolutely pathetic to watch, and fills me with something resembling disgust.

Most Nintendo fans aren't like this - most of them were laughing and nodding along with everyone else, but Nintendo has always had a diehard contingent of people who, for whatever reason, have taken to fanatical Mario-worship, in a kind of blind devotion that makes the rest of us who enjoy Zelda, Metroid, and Mario, a bit ashamed to be associated.
i would sig this but its too large.
it reminds me of the TP incident and how i was ashamed to be a zelda fan amongst the rabid fanboys.
