Probably because the story is empty and it's nothing kickass for the critics and or viewers. I'll just making this answer up mind you.

A bit of both. I was watching it this morning but there was a 15 minute gap that I don't remember -_- I think I was in that sleep walking kinda state where I"m still awake but don't remember whats going on

Soon very few things will do well at the box officer thanks to all them folk that just rip stuff :( I wonder whats going to happen in 10 years to DVD sales

But its gaining more and more power. and more and more are learning the ways to do it. and then you have NetFlix that you can use to watch a ton of films for a much cheaper price. NetFlix may kill DVD sales now but in 10 years it may be what keeps the things being sold b/c they will keep buying more :P
