[QUOTE="fastesttruck"][QUOTE="darksword1123"]Who hasn't heard of Pink Floyd? They are immensely popular.darksword1123I have one of thier CD's but it took me till about 3 years ago to hear of them and last year to get a CD of them I heard about Pink Floyd years ago when I wasn't even interested in music.
My parents liked Pink Floyd so I'd hear Pink Floyd records playing around our house growing up.

Wow, 40 minutes and 47 seconds!?! :o That's too long in my opinion, although Coltrane was really good...Good choice sir. It's decent, a little too long, but near the end it started getting better I thought. I'm not that big on guitars though, so the guitar solo was a little too long for me.

I only have Remain in Light by Talking Heads but I like it a lot.
the talking heads rule, David Byrne was one of the coolest guys in music to me when I was growing up.
On the subject of 80's music, is anyone ehre a fan of The Smiths?

You rule for being a fellow P-funk fan. Did you see the new Bootsy Collins cellphone commercial?
I know a little bit of Talking Heads but not enough to say something of them. I listen to some Brian Eno & David Bryne yesterday though. :D
As for the Smith, I just know the name.
Anything Brian Eno puts his name on is amazing. From his work in Roxy Music, to his stuff with Robert Fripp, to his material with David byrne or even his solo work it always comes out so unique and awesome.I know a little bit of Talking Heads but not enough to say something of them.
