Hmmm... not sure how one sees/thinks Generation 5 is not that bad while 4 is worse, different tastes I guess. I don't see it however, I think there can be a lot of evidence, features, and other stuff about the Generation 4 games, that makes it at least sorta better than the 5th Generation games. I think the Anime also just keeps sinking lower and lower along with the games as well. However Gens 3-5 all can be pretty bad in their own ways. end of 2 = end of Golden Age.
I honestly can't say what the worst generation is. All of them are unique and fun in their own ways. Currently playing Pokemon White, and just earned my 4th Gym Badge. I still haven't decided on a team yet, and I'm more or less just using my starter (Pignite), which is overlevelled and wipes out anything that stands in its way.
Soul Silver and Heart Gold however are super duper awesome remakes of Gold and Silver. :cool: I think they are the best two games out of the entire series.
I don't particularly care for the 4th generation, but I find the 5th to be even worse.Â

One of the reasons being its the only one where you can visit two Regions and get 16 Badges. :cool: Though I think the remakes of Gold and Silver are even better, one of the reasons being more Legendaries are available, and I think its fun catching them, another huge favorite legendary of mine (Mewtwo) is available to catch in that secret cave as well.
I don't particularly care for the 4th generation, but I find the 5th to be even worse.Â

That's a big part of it. There's also the addition of dark and steel types, which I really like. A lot of my favourite pokemon are dark types.
Pokemon have gotten a lot more digimonish in the past few years. The worst ones being Gen 4. I think Gen 5 went back to the Pokemon formula just a tiny bit :)

I kind of cheated on my Pokemon HeartGold game. :P My friend bought a Pokemon Emerald game where there was a saved file that had many master balls so what I did was catch Pokemon and have them hold master balls, then I migrated them to HeartGold. I was able to catch Ho-oh with ease. ;)Â
