As the previous question has shown, the majority of Castlevania games are called Akumajo Dracula (insert subtitle here). However, some of the Castlevania games actually bore the Castlevania name in Japan, an oddity considering the name originated in the US. Chronologically, according to release date, which was the first game to use the Castlevania name in Japan?
A) Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
B) Castlevania 64
C) Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
D) Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance
E) Haunted Castle
My guess is Castlevania 64, just because it has no subtitle to include. Good question, by the way.steff3121Nope. Castlevania 64 was known as Akumajo Dracula Apocalypse in Japan. In fact, officially, the US version doesn't even included the number 64 in the title. It's tacked on there by fans to distinguish it from the NES Castlevania (or so I believe).
Any other guesses?
That is what my guess would be, too.
We'll wait and see what venus has as the answer.
These are really great questions, guys! Keep it up! :)
In Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance there is an enemy dressed as a Belmont. Who it is ? A) Simon B) Richter C) Trevor D) Leon E) JohnMandator
Alright, as long as my computer doesn't triple post, I think I know this one; Simon. He was also a playable guy in Boss Rush if you entered a specific code.
What was the name of the cancelled Castlevnia for the Dreamcast?
A. Castlevania VII
B. Castlevania Dreams of Despair
C. Castlevania Ressurection
D. Castlevania Lost Records
steff3121
C. Castlevania: Ressurection
Having a Dreamcast is awesome enough, but I think that game could have made it even better.
Well, while we wait for confirmation on that, I'll post my question to keep things moving.
In Curse of Darkness, which of the following is a skill the Embryo Rod ID can never have?
A. Demonic Disaster
B. Salamander
C. Purify
D. Sorcery Flame
E. Agnea
F. Freeze
G. These are skills the Embryo Rod can obtain.
That's okay steff, thanks. I also thought my last question might be too difficult, unless you have a complete ID chart, or perhaps a degree in Innocent Devil breeding. I've decided to make a second question. You take your pick, answer both, or one. It's all up to you. Here is the extra question...
One of the following statements about Curse of Darkness is false, which one is it?
A. Curse features traditional bosses like Death and Dracula.
B. Hector can use traditional CV sub-weapons, like holy water and the axe.
C. The first Innocent Devil you encounter in the game is the Infant Fairy.
D. There is more than one piece of Devil's Vein in the game.
E. The Purple Glitter, stolen from Dullahan, is required to make the Laser Sword.

Well, you've made a good point. I should have worded it differently, more like what the first innocent devil you get to control in the game is. I was looking for B, as Hector can't use traditional sub-weapons.
And for anyone interested... the answer to my original question was the Salamander skill.
I know the answer for your question, but I'll give someone else a shot at it.
It's German. Verboten means forbidden.
I can't come up with anything fantastic for a question, so I'll stick with the German theme (it's perfectly fine if you have to guess).
A german-speaking person might think what when they see Richter Belmont's name?
A. Judge Belmont, as Richter is German for judge.
B. Nothing. Richter is nothing in German.
C. Neither of these are accurate.
Excellent, you are correct. Most German-English dictionaries translate Richter to mean "judge".
Ask away! :)

Thank you. Sorry if that came off as pretentious. Anyway...

Banquet of Maddness is an original track for PoR. Crucifix Held Close is originally from the Haunted Castle arcade game, but was called Cross Your Heart. Bloodlines Bequeathed is originally the opening stage from Dracula X: Rondo of Blood, simply called Bloodlines. Jonathan, Portrait's main character is actually the son of John Morris, a hero of Castlevania Bloodlines. Portrait does a good job of tying the events of Bloodlines into the story of the Belmont clan.
Anyhow, go ahead and ask your question.
[QUOTE="steff3121"]Wait, I thought that Alucard was his son. What's going on here?Rolovis
You wouldn't have sounded like a noob. You had it right the first time.
Ok. Most of the Castlevanias feature many endings to unlock. Only a few have one. Which of the following is one of the examples of a game where, try as you might, you can only get that one ending?
Yep, it is Circle. Curse had a really hard to get unlockable ending. Your turn.steff3121
Sorry to jump in, but this has peaked my interest. I've played through Curse more times than any sane person would feel comfortable to admit. . . I always get the same end result.
How might this other ending be unlocked?
