God dammit, that comic was great.GreggD
I wondered if you were going to be upset that they scorned your beloved Max Payne....
@Hush: That song has been around for a looooong time, but that was the weirdest & most erotic version I have seen....haha!
@chang: Can't at the moment, just happened to be on real quick. :( Maybe later tonight though. I'll let you know what's up a little later, if you are still here and awake anyway. :)
@e1...usually, when i think of the Witch Doctor song i think of it as background music for old school mario games. but yeah, that video...i thought it was one for kids...then i realized the women showed a bit too much up top an when one guy played catch with their rears. i bet thats what Acid is like... :/
also, i bought some apple fritters, DELICIOUS!
e1shw: Both of those videos were great :D, that guy got some skillz with a flute, also the other video was pretty cool that cute cat :D.
Dejiko: What the Heck that was interesting .
Hush: Did I hear some dance music , so that's the real one not the Rugrat Movie version of it, also glad that you enjoying the Apple Fritters :D.
Have I reach the The Outer Limits or something , what with all the zany Youtube Video link , anyway here what happen when Mario get Mad, enjoy ;).

Actually it was Sin City but...Glad everyone liked the vids! :D That guy is really good, there are some people out there with some really great talents and he is one of them. He should be making millions right now....
Actually it was Sin City but...DynamicJumpIuff
I can be a dumbass sometimes. I should have realized. :? Oh well....
everytime i think of that big guy from Sin City, i think of my JROTC instructor...i even remember the story of "death by a thousand cuts" he told us an then remember what the big guy, some rubber bands, and a saw did to a kid.
man...
but Sin City is a really good comic, unique style an brutally Adult/Mature story with alot of grit. Thats why i donate money to fight censorship in comics. that is also why i like Black Lagoon as well, but compared to sin city its a bit more exagerrated here an there...like Sawyer, the goth-ish girl who has a giant scar on her throat but rampages with an elongated chainsaw like scarface...
but on a sunny-happy note its MONDAY. YAY! *if someone really wakes up an say that...they got issues
What is sanity anyway? If we were "sane" we would just be a product, robot, or slave to the system.
"Only ourselves can free our minds." - Bob Marley
But annnnnnyway, just because we all like violent games, anime, and comics doesn't mean we have issues.
****
@Hush: We should all fight censorship, it is a crap system that just gives parents an excuse to not have to teach their kids morals and honesty on their own. Also gives them and excuse to not monitor what their kids are playing or watching. IMO kids need to see some of the stuff so you can teach them what is wrong or right. Some things you cannot describe, you need an example. Like shooting down helicopters with rocket launchers. But, you know what I mean.
hahaha, this reminds me of some comedian and one of his lines that go like "Video games teaches our kids violence. i bet you right now that half of the american kids in our population think that if you stomp on someones head they will **** out some golden coins".
ROFLMAO!!!! That would be hilarious!
You know, I have played, read, or watched many violent things and it has NEVER made me want to go out and actually commit an act of that nature. You know, your post brings up a good point as well. There is a certain amount of violence in almost every game. It's just at what point do they really consider it violence? I mean Mario can run around all day and "kill" things, but as soon as you put a gun or real person in the equation....I think what it really boils down to most of the time is whether blood is shown or not. I mean Cabela's games are not rated M and you kill deer and other animals.....
So really the question is....Is the rating system just and fair? I think not, it is total crap and too political.
political. to me the rating system is much like how Mcdonalds(an other rest. an companies) have a "HOT" warning label with their coffee. obviously something happened, someone complained an made a fuss, an we have warning labels that caution us to the fact that one's hot coffee, is indeed, hot. if not, it just goes along the lines of movies an their rating systems too.
an im in the same boat...i grew up watching rambo and predator(along with other R movies) as a kid...you dont see me slicing people or pulling out spinal columns.
and in my opinion, its the standard "where were the parents" or "Why wasnt that kid in a straight jacket" when something happens. i dont think a movie, game, or music is enough to set someone off onto the wildside...there had to have been been more to build up to it. somehow something got slipped loose, bad stuff happened, an everyone is looking for a scapegoat(so they arent to blame an they can get some money).
oh guys you are SO right on this. Â in my case, my whole family doesn't know a sh*t about videogames and they don't make an effort to understand them either (that goes for my music as well lol), so pretty much, I always bought what I wanted without complications, including stuff that was really graphic when I was a kid (like mortal kombat 2). Â and well, I turned out right, never fought, never had the ''urge'' to slice/shoot someone or myself. I DO believe however in the rating system guys BUT not as a substitute for parenting but as a TOOL for parents, like mine, who do not know anything about games and do not want to expose their children YET to some stuff.
The guy who has been sueing various game companies has filed another lawsuit. This time it's against A LOT of news sites (including gamespot) the reason? basically "they hurt my feelings"D3j1k0
WTH?!?!?! .... I give up...
some people...does he try to sue gamers who make him cry during online matches?HushRong

Some people will try to do anything for money....
You guys should check out the Justes' Room thread. I have started the next stage/challenge of the game. :)
e1shw
hmmmm.... will go tomorrow or day after.. you guys may have a lil reast from me (1-2 days) :P thing are bit busy ...Â
**
BTW:I watched LEGION.. OK movie... but WTH is with announcing movie as horror and then.... boom... is a movie with some message.. this one a religious one :? ... is like that movie... KNOWING... cool amazing thriller with lil horror.. or so I though :? ...
anyway...
Hush/e1shw: I disagree with you guys somewhat, yeah I play some violence games and watch some movies that wasn't meant for kids when I was small and I turn out like you say alright, though that doesn't mean everyone will be like that some might do some bad things cause they didn't know any better or after playing/watching something they couldn't tell the difference between what was fantasy or what was real.
Polter: Yeah, I agree it there as a guideline for parents.
Dejiko: Oh man, he should probably stop before someone sue him for not shutting up .
Chang: That sucks , it like that with movie The Village, it look like a scary movie through the trailer but the actual movie wasn't scary.
Read some articles so I though I put it here

As much as I want to Get NMH2 I will probably hold off for a bit. Finances are a little tight, I have lots of stuff already that I still need to finish playing through, and I'll be curious to see how it has turned out before I buy it (I'm sure it'll rock, but in these times of tight money and limited gaming time for me I like to hear about how much something rocks before I spring for it).
I have some thoughts on the whole violence in the media/censorship thing, and as I started to type them up it got really long and turned into quite the rant, so I made it a blog post instead. Here it is for any of you who want to hear my opinion.
Lard-Head's Violence in the Media Rant
Anyway, that said, I think I'll have a double of some Bowmore Islay Single Malt before bed. Cheers and have a good day/night everyone!

Those guys look like quadruplets.
Anyway, it is with great pleasure that I announce our newest recruit promoted to officer, e1shw! For all of his hard work in keeping our union active, as well as his dedication to keeping things around here fresh and exciting, he is to be commended.
@serbine: the village? which one is that? you mean amytville??Â
@hush: .. actually knowing is quite a good movie, but if you pay atenttion to the "symbols" you would know where is heading to.. and well at the end is nothing else that another phylosophy movie with a religious theme and NO HORROR.. LEGION HAD potential.. but it had it, never actually developed it..
@serbine: thx for the news... I posted the RoB news on the official thread (and btw: as long as is CV related news you can just open a new thread (or posted in the official one :) ) ... About the calling to me sounds good, I ahve seen a couple of clips and so far like it.. that impression make it sound real nice, but is pry a lil bias (nintendoweb) .. I`m getting it anyway :P ..
and yea... I knew about Yamane.. is too depressing to even post it.. it was a rumor a while ago.. I guess that is now final  .... guess we should open a thread about it... :( (would you do me the honors, is your new after all.. )
I`m getting NMH2 :) ... reserved it.. but just got home so i`ll pick it up tomorrow,,, I do not play fighting games, os is easy for me :)
*******
and I could not agree with gregg more... You are a GREAT recruit and I know you`ll be a EXCELLENT Officer.. Welcome to the staff members, now you are officially running the graphic thread :P ... CONGRATS!!! *raise a glasss of wine*

Wow! Thanks guys! :D :D :D This is quiet a pleasure to join you all as a ranking officer!
Thanks to everyone for the compliments and congrats too! :D
Man, you know I had kind of a bad day and I logged on to come here to lift my spirits and saw the topic. I had to put in eye drops to make sure I was seeing things right. Man you guys really made my day once again! :D
@Serbine: Nice finds on the articles bro! :D Also, I have started playing Crystal Bearers...... It is a good game! I like it so far and the control layout is really good. I am not far into it yet, I am going to play more tonight.
I plan to get NMH2 soon too. That game looks totally awesome so I am going to pick it up.
*****
Gregg/chang: *raises glass of wine* Cheers and thank you! ;)
no no, there was a version other than that one too. I'll go look it up
EDIT: it was on the PC Engine: Duo turbo. yeah...I doubt they would add that just for this game. either it was a mistake or they're going to change it to WiiWare
D3j1k0
They will probably catagorize it under TG16 because all the Turbo Duo was was a TG16 with a CD drive. They had the CD drive available as an addon as well. But the Turbo Duo was all in one system. Y's Books 1&2 was a Turbo Duo game. ;)
System w/ addon.....
@Chang: thats a shame, that movie seriously seemed it could have been cool. but something about it just seemed to scream "not that great". i have a 6th sense about stuff like that :/ probably all those years of watching really bad b-rated movies with my dad.
@E1: i bet NMH2 is going to be awesome. i love the first one. its funky and awesome. definitly one of those "Must Have" games for the Wii in my opinion. hmmm....maybe i should see if i finished NMH...
haha,or having to pick up coconuts? i think it fitted in ok with the story. Travis was a goofy otaku who wasnt a hardcore assassin...so doing petty jobs kind of fit him as he is the kind of guy who would need more money. *he won the lotto right?
man...i have an urge to go play NMH...LATA!
I turned off the wii in disgust when they made you mow a lawn in NMH >_>D3j1k0
Haha! Why would they make you mow a lawn? I actually kind of remember a friend of mine playing that game. I might be thinking of something else, but I am almost sure it was the first one. I personally never played the first one, but I think I might have to pick it up now, it sounds fun. :D
@Hush: Sometimes B-Rated movies can be good too.... :)
Lard: Awesome First Blog Lard, that was a great read :D.
Hush: You need to get your hands back on the Wii again, also yeah you should get No More Heroes 2 or any other game coming out this year for the Wii and play them like crazy :D.
e1shw: Congrat on becoming an Officer :D, No Problem and glad you enjoying The Crystal Bearers it look like a beautiful game, It funny how you and Chang have the game yet I don't , yeah you should get No More Heroes 2 as well as the first one plus FFCC: Echoes of Time :D, also that Turbo Duo system look really cool.
Chang: It isn't made by Nintendo so I wouldn't they're bias(though I get what you mean the site being about Nintendo consoles and this game happen to be on the Wii)maybe toward horror games  kidding, alright I'll make the thread for you ;) since you ask, that's really great hope you have fun playing NMH 2 :D and you really need to get into fighting games they're awesome  since you can get right into the action, also i meant The Village movie by M. Night Shyamalan that star Joaquin Phoenix.
Dejiko: Oh My God  I can't believe this , the lawn-mow job in NMH wasn't bad though it did made you a bit sad when you didn't get the amount you needed(due to mower being a bit hectic to control at time plus bumping into the fence), I though it was really funny .
Attention fellow members! I prepared something nice (with some help) for all members to enjoy, watch out the board and you'll see what it is :)
and... I ashamed to say that I never finished NMH... someday I will, someday...
@lard: I read your post, pretty good man, I couldn't have said it better, kudos to you :) (although I'm not a parent mind you  )
@Lard: Thanks! :D I will read your blog a little later today. :)
@Serbine: Hope you can get the game soon. I figured you would already have though.... ;)
I will have to pick up NMH and NMH2, you guys seemed to have liked the first one and so far no one here has steered me wrong. :D
[QUOTE="Poltergeist86"]Now I'm curious...Attention fellow members! I prepared something nice (with some help) for all members to enjoy, watch out the board and you'll see what it is :)
