What did you do today?

Yaysers! Day off for me and a rather strange Saturday off as I rarely ha:Dve a weekend day off. I'm not really fond of it because of the amount of peeps wandering the street but it's nice just to sleep.

My spent the day at my apartment playing Ryu Ga Gotoku as he was tying up loose ends for his faq. I kinda spent the day all over the place on my 360 by playing retail games and a chunk of XBL games.

First of all, I finally got my "Drive over 1,000 miles" achievement in DiRT! :D It ended up not being as big of a deal as I thought it would be to get as my favorite track is a 20 miles track so I could rack up miles pretty fast. I played a little Undertow to get some kills and then some Yaris and Rocketmen for good measure.

I realised it was Saturday and not 3am so I figured there might be more people around. I tried to get a Rocketmen game going but I never could get more than three people to show up and then they kept getting confused and disappearing. I tried to get a Burnout: Revenge game going but they would either kick me out (for being a noob I suppose) or the game would never start and everyone would just yak yak yak yak yak.

I also thought I'd take another stab at Yaris online. I tried it once and lost because I was fooling around so I thought I'd go for that little "Win a game online" achievement. I got lucky and a nice guy was online so I race him and won! But...no achievement!:( I don't know why. I raced again and lost and then my friend wanted to go eat so that ended my online Yaris saga. I suppose this is why I don't play online much.

*sigh*

@LD: i feel ur pain daemon, people online can be pretty retarded at times. congrats on the dirt achievement :) glad to hear that you got a day off.

@Cookie: haha im so bad when it comes to banners, sigs, and avis. im just bad when it comes to computer visual stuff. i can work out software problems and viruses like they're nothing but when it comes to image stuff, im straight up retarded :oops: nah ur day wasnt too bad. it's nice sometimes not to do too much and just sit back and relax :)

today i went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. it was really cool and i got to see a whole bunch of animals i've never seen before in person. it was really neat and if you ever get the chance, i highly recommend it. i pretty much spent the entire day there and boy was it hot. it drained me physically b/c it was a big park and thus required a lot of walking and with the heat it was quite challenging. good thing they had water fountains all over the place or i would probably not be concious enough to post all this :P . yep overall it was a pretty good day :D

So far I've just been working all day here at the exciting book store and getting asked many, many foolish things. I hope Sundance has a good movie on at midnight tonight or I'll have to go back to playing Undertow or Yaris out of sheer spite.

That's sounds like great fun CM! I haven't been to the Wild Animal Park since, um....well a very long time. Generally I like to hit the San Diego Zoo if I get down there for reasons other than the SD Comic-con as I feel it's the best zoo in California. I love dem bat cages! :DLord_Daemon

I worked all day again but it wasn't too bad. I was alphabetizing the martial arts section which I always get a kick out of when I hit the "Samurai/Ninja" subsection. I enjoy the historical Samurai books and the texts on the art of Iaido (sword drawing and counter attack techniques), but those books on the ninja can really get awfully silly. I would almost qualify them as metaphysical considering the way in which they approach the subject of ninjutsu. But I suppose they know that westerners really eat this stuff up. :roll:

It was quite good actually. It wasn't amazing or anything but I rather liked the approach of ordinary people just completely caught up in a horrifying and very surreal experience. Looking back it's kind of funny remembering all those people annoyed that there was no explanation for the monster which was completely missing the point of the movie.

My day was just full of work since I stayed up too late to enjoy the morning. Tomorrow it's an early day of book store fun but supposed ShuLordLiuPei wants to do a lounge with me when I get home around 4:30pm so hopefully that will go okay.
