The power ups look amazing which one do you think looks the best I will say the Bumblebee Suit. I have heard there is 121 stars in the game.
I agree that the BumbleBee suit looks the best as well. Having all those suits to have will be awesome. The power ups look amazing which one do you think looks the best I will say the Bumblebee Suit. I have heard there is 121 stars in the game.

I like the blasting off from the star shards it looks totally awesome and you see just how huge the level and the game is. Also I probably will end up getting frustated with Spring Mario but the Boo Suit looks awesome and that should be fun. There is just so many things I can't wait to try out in this game but I really want to play it.
It couldn't release during the worse week all year ... Listen to this week of hell:
That's exactly why I'm probably not going to get the game. Those 120 stars just drag out. Towards the end of 64 and SMS it really felt like they ran out of ideas for stars and just threw the rest together. I'd have been much happier with less stars and more effort. I cringe everytime I think about collecting so many stars. The power ups look amazing which one do you think looks the best I will say the Bumblebee Suit. I have heard there is 121 stars in the game.

You only need to collect half of those 120 to beat the game, the rest are just extra to add replay value. The power ups look amazing which one do you think looks the best I will say the Bumblebee Suit. How sad. :(
I'm still kind of ticked that it didn't release today like you'd think it would have. All of the stores in my area won't have it until tomorrow. I have a decision to make though, where do I want to buy it? Gamestop offers a guaranteed copy and a Mario coin since I preordered it, but Toys R Us is offering a free $25 gift card if you buy the game there?
So, what do I do? Buy the game at Toys R Us and get a great value, or buy the game at Gamestop and get a coin that essentially has no value unless I can manage to sell it on Ebay someday for a good sum of money? However,I tend to get attached to material items whether I like them or not, so I probably wouldn't sell it.
What really sucks is that since today is the holiday for Remembrance Day in Canada, no game stores are even open! I had literally NO chance of getting the game today! :(ihateelvislol, why didn't Nintendo realize that then?
this game is absolutely amazing....ThePrince8605You have the game too?
I still have roughly two more hours until my mom comes home with the game. :(
Obviously go with the gift card. I'm not really excited about this game but I'm thinking about buying it for the gift card. 2 Wii games for $75; hard to pass up such a great deal. How sad. :(

I AM IN LOVE WITH SUPER MARIO GALAXY!
Seriously, I haven't played a game this genuinely fun in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time. The graphics are absolutely stunning, the music is undoubtedly the best I've heard from a Mario game, or any game in general in quite awhile, the level design is pure imagination and artistic genius, and the gameplay is just pure nostalgic Mario fun. I love how each galaxy has a theme, I just wish some of them had more than one star to go through. In the end though, shorter galaxies are for the better since that means you'll have a more varied experience rather than replaying the same worlds over and over again with the same layout only with a different star. My only real complaint is how the camera doesn't follow your back in the hub world, aside from that it usually cooperates very well.
If you haven't already, go buy this game. Oh, and I got the gift card at Toys'R Us. :)
I have one minor complaint (very minor), it is to easy to unlock new galaxies! I almost always complete a galaxy before I go to a different one, but now it is at the point where I unlocked the next hub along with all but two galaxies within it, and I have a feeling the next one I unlock will already have every galaxy unlocked when I get there. It could be that I am just addicted to everything in this game and want to go for everything :P but it is still a very small complaint I have.
BTW what is everyone's favorite suit so far? Mine is definantly the Boo one, it has a nice appeal to it and works really nicely.
I thought you could get the coin at Toys R' Us as well.:? Hard to pass up a free $25 gift card that is for sure. What you are telling me and everybody else, this game is pure awesome. Sadly, i am waiting for Christmas. Enjoy everybody:)I AM IN LOVE WITH SUPER MARIO GALAXY!

The only one I've seen so far is the bee suit, which is pretty nice. Remember, you had the game a day before we did, so you're probably farther than us. :PI have one minor complaint (very minor), it is to easy to unlock new galaxies! true, but you guys will catch up quickly. I have only played about three hours of the game and don't have a ton of time later this week. And I must say the comets are some of the funnest/most challenging levels yet when you get a chance to play them. I'll put the rest in a spoiler for those that don't want to know about specific comets
-I tried to make a spoiler tag, but GS is really stupid and won't let me  so if you don't want spoilers I shrank the font as much as possible to make it less noticeable.
*SPOILER*
I have done three comets so far and they are amazing. The first one I did was in the Junk Galaxy and was a 4:00 minute speed run of the first star in that galaxy, at first I thought it would be hard but it turned out to be pretty easy to do speed runs if you really try to.
The second one was a race against a doppleganger in the Honeyhive galaxy, it was a race to about the half way point of the first star in that galaxy and is so far the hardest level I have done. It required you to do at least two backflips which can be very tricky if you do not know exactly how to do it, which I didnt.
And the last one was a speed run through the Good Egg galaxy Dino Pirahna level. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to beat the Pirahna fast enough because the first time I picked up the game I nearly died against that boss. But during the speed run it was far easier than before, most likely from getting used to the game
*END SPOILER*
I am very glad that Nintendo took the extra step to make the audio orchestrated, because the music in SMG is easily the best music I've heard in a video game since perhaps OoT or MM... TP and WW both had really good music too though.... but SMG has a consistency of quality as far as the music goes. I actually replayed a level in the first galaxy just so I could turn up the TV and listen to the music. :)
Has anyone checked out the WiiConnect24 feature where you can post your high scores on the message board and send them to people on your friends list?
I second RevFreak's post. I tried to come in with a reserved attitude towards SMG but I haven't found a single thing wrong with it. I can't even begin to describe it, even being a Zelda fan this game beats TP pretty badly.
EDIT: I agree with Rev on the music too. Classic Mario music, mixed with newer themed music, and more often than not combined perfectly.
