Great game between Boise and Va Tech. Put_in_KitnaIndeed it was. Season has only just begun too, loving the potential for more great games this college season.
What a game!! Best teams in the nation, perhaps not, but both were legit. With their weak schedule giving them rest, they could play ANY team competitively in the NTG. Their defense was aggresive and fought HARD. Kellen Moore is legit. So is their OL. And, definitely not to be overlooked, their coaching is sublime. Chris Petersen could go anywhere and win big. He's like Urban Meyer was at Utah, except even better. I think they should go to the NTG as long as there's no more than one unbeaten team from a power conference. Maybe depending on how VT does in the ACC.GamerForcaHe made some throws I found questionable, but then again it could be his wr. Other than that he did do well. Boise St hype will be non-stop now unless they lose a game, which other than Oregon St I see unlikely.
I wouldn't call him outstanding or anything. Just legit. He was definitely better than Tyrod Taylor in the passing game. Taylor was really inaccurate with his mid-range passes.
edit: And Boise's game against Wyoming shouldn't be overlooked. They might get caught looking ahead.
Tyrod Taylor > Kellen Moore
VT's receivers had some big drops down the stretch, and that was the difference in my book, WR play.

A shame they rarely play anyone of importance, but that's the thing. You would think that with consistently weak schedules the Broncos would consistently play poorly against, and be heavily defeated by, the BCS teams that they have played and won against. But nope, they continue to fight and win. Impressive in my book, to be honest. As for Ole Miss, I think there should be more "kudos to JSU" than "rofl at teh Rebels". Just my opinion. Lastly, Penn State is going to be destroyed next weekend. Boo.
I will still take any other undefeated big conference team over an undefeated Boise. Even the ACC. Put_in_KitnaAgreed

WOW! Taylor is not greater than Moore. The fourth quarter easily showed Moore was better. Heck the final 5 minutes of the game showed that. Moore puts the ball where only HIS receiver can get it (probably why he only had 3 interceptions last year), Taylor threw a lot of passes that could have been picks because they were under thrown (BSU's secondary never turned around to look for the ball, causing a lot of pass inference calls). Moore also doesn't get sacked too much because he gets rid of the ball (2 sacks last night almost double what he had last year). Taylor is definitely a dual threat, but he is almost like Krap (Nevada QB). He can run and he can throw decently. Moore is one of the smartest QBs in CFB right now.
My two cents: sloppy special teams on both sides, Boise's secondary is missing Wilson (but they will be ok), Any thoughts on VaTech's flea flicker (besides, lol)? See, Boise can win big games without trick plays, Wyoming will not be overlooked. NTG? if there are 2 undefeated AQs, no. 1 undefeated AQ, maybe. No undefeated AQs, probable.
sith- Really? He's the best WR in the nation and takes a double-team at all times. His presence alone changes the game. I don't even want to think about where UGA would've been over the last two years without him.
shiro- Perhaps. Saturday's game is at SC, and they're always a first-half team that melts down in the second half. This might be the toughest game of the season. Arkansas has no D, so his absence shouldn't be the deciding factor in that one. Miss State is Miss State.
But that's not what I'm pissed about. Marcell Dareus of Alabama accepts nearly $2000 from an agent and attends the agent party in Miami and gets suspended two games. AJ Green sells his bowl game jersey to an agent for $1000, doesn't attend the Miami party, and gets a 4-game suspension. Does the NCAA really just pull these punishments out of their ass? Rhetorical question.

Marcell Dareus actually didn't accept money from any agent. A friend of his from a different school invited him to a party and paid for him to go. There was an agent at the party who had been talking to the friend of Marcell. Marcell left from the party after realizing there was an agent there.
I don't know anything about Green and really don't care too much to find out.
I agree that the NCAA pulls out all of these punishments and regulations on players and teams. Most of the time it completely goes against everything common sense would tell someone. Like with USC now. They are getting sanctioned for something that happened back in 2004. (I laugh at Kiffin being the coach getting the troubles, but) Why must the players on the USC team today have to endure punishment from a year that no one playing on their team today was involved with. All the players from 2004 are gone. Why does it take the NCAA so long to get this stuff straight? They have apparently been working on the USC case for a while and are just now finishing up? Doesn't make much sense.
I wouldn't even care so much if they took the wins away from the season(s) that are in question. But, the fact that the players on the team now are going to have to suffer for their predecessors' mistakes is something that absolutely confounds me.
Well at least he isn't suspend the entire season. Hes more important to you guys in the 2nd half of the season. CommanderShiro
Yep at least he didn't get the Dez Bryant treatment.

I really didn't get a chance to pay all that much attention last year. And I've never really sat and listened to any of the "analysts" over the last few years. I knew the name, but honestly didn't know that much about him. *shrugs*

How does AJ Green being misrepresented have anything to do with what I said earlier? I really doubt he was at the party. Chances are we would know about it seeing as how the other players have been caught for having been there. But, "mitigating circumstances" and the fact that if he had indeed payed to go himself and had been in contact with the agent we wouldn't be talking about a 2 game suspension (it would be more like a season long suspension) seem to be leaning towards Dareus being guilty of nothing much more than making some very stupid decisions about it all.
Not going to comment on the Georgia issue because I don't know much on the issue (although selling your jersey to anyone you met over Facebook [misrepresented or not] seems incredibely stupid, naive,...whatever you want to call it).
stupid mario fannin totally wrecked my ncaa fantasy team this weekSteelers_86
His fumbling problems the past few years takes away his carries. I wouldn't pick any of Auburn's running backs, with Newton leading the team in carries each game that says something.
You're missing the part about him missing only two games. You're missing the part about, if he had done something more severe (knowingly taken money from agents; knowingly attended a party to contact agents; payed for his own visit [which he didn't. He is being asked to RETURN the money to a charity. If he had payed for his own visit he wouldn't be having to return any money because he never would have recieved it.]) You need to use some critical thinking skills here for second. The fact that the NCAA settled on just a two game suspension for this should be a good indicator to you that Dareus didn't do much of the stuff that people were trying to speculate on at first, that you seem to be holding onto now.
And, what about Green eh? Why does he sell his jersey for $1000 to someone he meets over facebook? Misrepresented or not, Legal or not? You can say, "Oh the guy he was selling his jersey to was a lying piece of crap who tricked my player into doing this. It wasn't his fault. He didn't know. Why is he getting into trouble for something he didn't know about???" Well. Because misrepresented or not, it happened. He sold his jersey to the wrong guy (quite frankly, I don't understand why he wouldn't possibly think it a good idea to sell his jersey. Especially still being on the team and part of the NCAA. That just sets yourself up for some NCAA problems at some point.)

Marcell didn't knowingly accept all of that money from an agent, so he only gets 2. AJ Green didn't knowingly sell his jersey to "what qualifies as an agent", so he gets 4. Because misrepresented or not, it happened. Makes perfect sense.
So what does this say about Boise now?geaux321
Proves my opinion of them. bjvb will prob say something else.
Oh, and Denard Robinson is the ****ing man!sith_acolyte15If his play screws up Ohio State's BCS hopes at end of season, then we'll talk.

lol it looks like his play so far is screwing up pryors heisman hopes
Miami had so many chances. They brought a new meaning to the words self destruction.
Florida still looks mediocre on offense.
Boise's chances are done imo after today. ACC is garb. FSU got owned by a mediocre OU team.
Kansas beating GT is hilarious.
Michigan looking decent. Then again they always start good before flaming out.
Wyoming playing Texas good. Too bad they lost the game in a span of 3 minutes. Texas up 20-7 at half.

I'm gonna take this season only one game at a time. And in the here and now, DRob is the ****in man.

Perhaps if Green had been been more straight forward/honest/co-operative with the NCAA in their investigation he too would be returning next week. Oh well.
Bama made a number of sloppy errors against Penn State. But them having still been without Ingram and Dareus and the fact that even with all of those mistakes that we held up alright is reassuring.
Tennessee held on for a little but (as expected) Oregon pulled way ahead in the end.
Ole Miss beat Tulane but still didn't look as good as they want to be.
