Already one bad call in the UA/LSU game. Ever heard of forward progress?geaux321
And there were plenty of more to follow, this is pathetic by the refs.
[QUOTE="munchlax99"]only one to pick ohio state:D:)8)geaux321
You picked the team you cheer for, congrats.
thanks
im watching ohio state soccer now. they scored with 2 seconds left in the 1st half:D
Wow, Jahvid Best just left the field on a stretcher after jumping into the endzone and getting up-ended. He landed square on his back, did not look good at all. Hope he can get better.geaux321
Just saw the highlights. Wow that looked so bad. Hes fine tho, just a concussion...he can feel and move everything. Thank God.
Excellent work Navy, we all thank you for beating Notre Dame.geaux321I watched the 4th quarter and was rooting for them all the way. A friend of mine is on the Navy team, gave him a congrats after the game.

I've got so much bad to say about UGA's defensive coaching/playing, but I'm not even going to waste my breath. I've been gone all week because I did not actually have a urinary problem. It was my appendix, which burst, and I had to have emergency surgery and was in the hospital. I'm back now, but still in a lot of pain. I'll probably give up on the pickem, but I haven't decided yet. For the record, my upset pick last week would've been Navy, so I was happy to see that. There are plenty of teams I want to give an LOL to right now, but they'll get a free pass for the moment.GamerForcaDude that sucks, get better soon.
Thanks Shiro.
A few 5-stars are visiting Athens this weekend, including Marcus Lattimore, who just announced UGA as his last visit. This game against Auburn just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Make or break for both teams both for the season AND recruiting. Looks like it will impact recruiting for the rest of the SEC as well, with all these big-time talents going to be watching the game. Usually a great defensive battle, it's gonna be awesome when both teams put up 50+. lol

Lattimore could be going to see Auburn again. Michael Dyer (ESPN's #1 RB) is trying to recruit him to come to Auburn. And yeah, it's going to be quite an offensive showing, I just hope Willie doesn't decide to actually coach.
I watched a bit of the USF vs Rutgers game before this chick decided to change the channel to MTV. Man USF really misses Matt Grothe. A ranked team should not have such sloppy play on offense and special teams. CommanderShiro
They aren't a ranked team without Grothe, like Oklahoma without Bradford.

Lacking Grothe is no excuse for that sloppy special team play though.Play-calling doesn't get much worse than what I just saw from Auburn. Georgia did nothing but play zone, Auburn does a good job early of using PA and finding the soft spots of the zone, and also using PA to open up the run game, and then never goes back to it in the second half. I don't know what Georgia was getting at with all the short screen passes when UGA's receivers had more than enough speed to burn the Tiger secondary in the open field, but they scored 31 so whatever. So much crazy **** happened in that game, I just pray that Rambo is ok and that Richt doesn't use this as an excuse to keep Willie around (ESPN called him a great DC, WTF, these guys are so ****ing stupid). But a huge win and a great game.GamerForca
No depth on defense, that's a huge issue. Once Eltoro Freeman went down Auburn had to use it's last scholarship LB available. Auburn hardly blitzed at all and that's because of the depth issue as well. Another pathetic showing on the road.
LSU barely gets by LaTech and it's a solid win. BSU wins by 10 and they look weak. Keep making that chip bigger.bjvb15
And Auburn beat them by 24.
Who said it was a solid win? LSU was playing without their starting QB, and we all know Jarrett Lee likes throwing TD's to the other team more so than his.

I agree, depth and UGA having more speed on offense was huge. AU's OL was a big problem as well, giving up all that pressure to a 4-man rush. Willie can't dial DL slants to trick the OL or timed blitzes to save his life, so the 4-man rush means everything. But I still can't believe Willie is getting so much credit for the win when he honestly played the same defense the entire game with no adjustments. AU might have saved his job. ****!

That's what I was getting from ESPN. I didn't hear any talk about LSU not looking like a top 10 team.
Man am I glad that OSU's beatings in their last few BCS games chased off all their fans from this board. Because I really don't think I'd be able to just ignore them for very long right now.....
And yes, I will definitely agree with that UConn part. lol

If Stanford had won and used him correctly, I'd argue him for Heisman. If Stanford was going to the Rose Bowl you would hear his name a whole lot more.
The LSU call-in radio show was on for about 6 hours after the Ole Miss loss, guess the fans had a lot to say.

If Stanford had won and used him correctly, I'd argue him for Heisman. However, that blame cannot be cast upon him. The individual(s) with the playcalling responsiblities failed to implement Gerhart when the game was on the line, and the team failed to win. Neither fact detriments his talent.
Well, PETA is again forcing themselves into the sporting world. Now they want UGA to use a robot dog as a mascot. Their reasons? Inbreeding of bulldogs to keep their bloodlines pure and horrible conditions that they live under at UGA. Yep, dogs that get a buffet whenever they're hungry, 24/7 air conditioning, a huge oft-cleaned dog house (also with an air conditioning unit), blankets, owners that take fans and bags of ice to keep him cool when he's out of reach of an air-conditioner, and sideline access so close to the action that they can bite Auburn players are TOTALLY living under pitiful conditions. What dogs don't have a shirt made of the same fabric as official player jerseys and aren't entombed in a mausoleom after their death? Unfortunately, the inbreeding part is true, and they really need to stop worrying about "pure" bloodlines.
However, if this robot mascot can be armed with missiles to destroy other mascots, then I might be willing to change my mind...

Well duh. I never said Gerhart was to blame. He was the sole reason Stanford was stayed in the game til the very end.The coaching staff should jump off a building or something. Give the ball to your best player that has proven he can make the plays, ergo Gerhart.Well, PETA is again forcing themselves into the sporting world. Now they want UGA to use a robot dog as a mascot. I've hated the UGA's since that incident, but it just wouldn't be the same without seeing a bulldog on the sideline.

Two middle of the road SEC teams knock off the two ACC teams that will battle for the ACC Championship,.geaux321
Like I've maitaned for some time now. The SEC is a little overrated this year. But the ACC is average at best like always. I love it when ACC people try to use the "teh conference depth!!!" excuse all the time. No, you're just a bunch of mediocre all rolled up into one conference. Your best shouldn't be losing to the "meh" of the SEC.
^About like the Big Ten this year. Georgia's ready to extend that unbeaten streak vs the Big Ten in bowl games.
Sorry, I'm in a trash-talking mood right now. :D But since I've started, who's it going to be? Minnesota or Michigan State? Maybe Northwestern? Even though UGA might just get stuck with a mid-major. It just better not be a frickin ACC team.

The SEC bowl picture is a mess with 6 teams having 7 wins, I have no idea who will go where.
Oh, and one more thing. I saw the highlights of the USC/UCLA game, and.. surprise, surprise.. USC threw a TD pass when up by 14 with 55 seconds to go. And Pete Carroll still doesn't understand why Harbaugh ran up the score on them. Because USC is the only team allowed to do that. :roll:GamerForca
For the record USC took a knee and UCLA called a timeout, then USC threw the pass.
I may be an idiot, but I'm going to say this straight up (and y'all can hate me, oh well):
Toby proved why he deserves the Heisman last night. The guy is a bulldozer, a beast, and a machine and I don't think college football has seen an athlete of such caliber in a long time. If the Heisman goes to any other fool, I think it'll be blatant the award is nothing more than a popularity symbol anymore. :|
