My thoughts from Saturday..

1. Tebow won't suruvive behind that OL. Damn, they are giving up some MONSTER hits on him. He was out cold. Their bye week couldn't have come at a better time.

2. Georgia and LSU are badly underachieving on defense. This game might get wild in Athens.

3. Alabama is the best team in the country, unless Texas keeps up what they did against UTEP. Penn State and Cal got whipped and I don't think anyone else around the top 5 can hang with Bama and Texas. Cal fans must have made Autzen angry. He can be mean when he's angry.

4. Notre Dame.. lucky bastards. And wtf, Washington? :|

1. This is true.  Although Brantley can still do some damage against the LSU secondary, they just don't seem to be playing what they are capable of.

2.  LSU got a new DC and they still have a bad secondary despite the playmakers in Chad Jones and Patrick Peterson.

3.  I don't want to agree with this.

4.  What were the Purdue coaches thinking?  That is awful playcalling.  Stanford is always there for a good upset with Harbaugh there.

3. Agreed. Alabama doesn't seem to slow down. Texas seems poised to win the Big 12/go undefeated this year with ease. The teams that gave them trouble last year are not the same this year. Florida can still keep up though, warranting Tebow's health and whether or not a wr finally steps up big time. The running game is making up for it.

edit: Did anybody else see the excessive celebration penalty? You have got to be kidding me. :| I don't want to be a homer complaining about the refs, so I know somebody else saw that, right?

edit again: All right, I've watched the replay enough, and I don't care anymore about seeming like a homer.. Green did nothing to merit that penalty.. Georgia got robbed. Blatant cheat. It's going to take a long time to get over this one.

The celebration penalty on LSU was obviously just a make-up call, but the damage was already done. And good job ESPN, complaining every time a team gets screwed by a celebration call, but not even showing this penalty on the highlights. UGA wins this game if not for that call.

Quite a few good games yesterday.

The Auburn/UT score should have been much worse, but it's a win on the road so I'll take it.  Gene Chizik is 5-0 at Auburn and was 5-19 at Iowa State, you tell me if it was his coaching or the talent.  Auburn has also scored in every quarter this season and is 1 point away from passing last years point total.  It was good to see the offense work against a top defense in the league.  Eric Berry looked lost at times last night, he got knocked on his ass by Ben Tate at one point.  Crompton is an awful QB, when he was hitting his WR's in the head or throwing the ball behind them, they were dropping the ball.

Houston's short lived time has run out after losing to UTEP, would have been better if Texas hadn't destroyed them a week ago.

How in the world did UNC lose to UVA?

The top 5 teams escaped this week.

Oklahoma better be in the 20's because that's where they are without Sam Bradford.

Iowa should also be down there after having Arkansas State hang tough.

Jevan Snead threw 3 more INT's last night against Vandy.

I have seen certain quarterbacks pointing at some fans and trying to get them going after a big play, but said quarterbacks didn't get a flag.  If your going to call ticky tacky penalties, call them all.

I saw the Auburn game. It was pretty crazy for awhile, Auburn was getting owned and then they got back in it so fast. Then...their defense got owned again. The rb Smith is really fast, reminded me of Felix Jones.

Alabama's defense is scary.

Remember I told you guys LSU would beat Florida before the season started.
