Hello there everyone, very pleased to be a aprt of this union. Music has literally been my life since I was very little, I played guitar at age 6 and since then have been in and out of numerous bands and have dabbled in a grand variety of instruments and have listened to a grand variety of music. Most aroudn GS also know me as the leader of the metal union, very nice to be a part of this union :).cousin_eddy

Hello, name is MarWash (real name is Ryan), dont care which you use. I have many interests but music is probably the one thing as an artist that inspires me the most. Im most comfortable listening to music and its rare that im out of the house without my headphones.

My taste in music is very broad but centers mostly around Adult Alternative (stuff like Jason Mraz & Dave Matthews). I like classic rock from the 70's - 80's (Queen is my favorite band of all time followed by the Ramones and others) and some 80's pop is nice too. Not a fan of the mainstream pop stars like BSpears and Im not completely opposed listening to stuff like Soulja Boy but i find very few rappers of that ilk appealing. I have recently gotten into hip-hop artists more like the Roots, Mos Def and Lupe Fiasco. R&B isn't really my thing except for on the Soul side of things (Musiq Soulchild, India.Arie, Maxwell...).

The only musical instrument ive ever been good at is violin, ive played since I was 9 but I should be better. Tried playing guitar and piano but yeah... not so much.

I'll give pretty much anything (musically speaking) a shot, but my favorite genres are electronic and it's vast amount of sub-genres, pop-punk, metal and post-hardcore. :P

Hi everyone, so glad to see many appreciate music.  

My name is kinda weird, so you can just call me gordo for short (however, I am not FAT! despite what my name implies :P)

Im a 23 college student who has an A.A in the musical arts and I am working to get my masters in the music field.  I currently also have my A.A in cooking/baking, i would really like to open up my own music based restaurant.

I have been playing drums for about  8 years now, and guitar for 2.  Ive been playing piano for 2 years as well but I still need a lot of work when it comes to it :P 

As for my taste, I love music  and like most people, I have a very open taste, however, at heart I am an alternative rocker as you can tell from my awesome Smashing Pumpkins sig (favorite band as well)  Im really into alternative, from 80's depeche mode, The Cure, R.E.M, The Smiths....ect to 00's alternative like The Silversun Pickups, Dead Weather, Awesome Colors, Interpole...ect I also greatly enjoy Psychedelic rock, its also one of my favorite genres, even more so when alternative bands incorporate it into their music such as Sonic Youth.  There's a lot more i would like to say but i feel like ive talked to much already.  Hope to have some great talks to many of you.  I can talk about music for hours so if i get carried away dont hesitate to tell me to shut up. :P
