Unfortunately, I won't be getting it day one. Actully, I never get games on day one.
2 reasons for this:
1) My sis is gonna get it on her birthday(feb). Saves me another game to buy
2) I'm gonna get a 360 to play it on instead of the PS2(woohoo)

Sadly, it is unknown whether I will get the game or not. Since homeschooling has started, my parents, AGAIN, said that I can't play videogames anymore. They even removed my TV from my room! I have very strict parents. My mom said that I might get the game if I do good in school, but it wouldn't be on that day it would be released, since I think that's a Wednesday, and I can only play games on the weekends.
You guys have no idea how lucky you are.

Wooooooowww I feel bad for you. My parents were kinda Iffy about me playing video games all the time, but they learned that I still do well in school, I just have nothing else to do.
Damn.....
I've had Dawn of the Dragon pre-ordered since early May.....:D
And being that I am very frugile, I buy very little, my parents are cool with it. Basically, their philosophy: it's your money, do what you want it with, as long as you use it wisely.
And that settles it. Besides, the $1,000+ I have in the bank from my summer job at the rink (remember me in the kangaroo suit? time and a half baby!!!!) should be keeping me confortable for a while.....
My parents dont like me spending money on things like videogames, but they usually dont mind if i get one here and there.
(I think they are just jellous because i make more money an hour than they do!!!! LOL)
Anyway, i havent pre-ordered it yet, but come mid-september, i will seriously consider it!!! :)
It turns out I will be getting the reserve friday. Yeah! But afterwards I have to write and write and write and write and wirte...(5 hours later)...and write my college essays. Yeah!swordmaster3
Sounds like a ton of fun!

Yeah.. I heard that in ur blog. That sucks bro...
I'm quite lucky i suppose. My dad goes mad about playing games, and says that I play 14 hours a day(I anit even awake that long). He says it hurts your eyes wrsit arms etc. MAn, the only thing he does is watch Tv, which is actually worse for your health than games.... In the other hand, My mum Never minds at all. I ask my Mum to buy a game for me here and then, and she buys it for me. I don't even need to save up to buy it. My Mum bought me my PS2 back in 2004 for absolutely FREE. I saved up about £60, and during the release of the DS Lite, my Mother said 'Stop saving up, I'll give ya the rest of the money, and buy it for ya''
Boy, am I lucky...
The thing is, if the reviews aren't good, he might not buy it...bd0g5
Tell him reviews don't mean everything. Is he aware that some are paid to write certain "reviews" for games?
That has actually happened on a site we should all know about. I could say more, but the last person who did, got modded pretty heavily from what I heard...
That's why I only let reviews tell me of the truly negative aspects of games (game-breaking glitches, butchered ports, etc.), and I almost never let them completely determine which games I get. He is better off asking random gamers what they think of the game, if he wants opinions on it.

Yeah, I live in Euro. Actually in the UK. 1 Pound(£1) is the same as two dollars (approx)
I personally hate reviews, well most of them. Review is an opinion not anything serious. I mean, I'd still buy a Spyro, Sonic title, even if the reviews rated it low, because I used to play them when I was a kid.

Your posting style kind of gives it away. You can tell a lot about a person by the way their messages are worded. However, this isn't the case all the time.
Your right GANGSTASAN, there have been multiple times where ill buy a game, play it, love it, and only later do i find out that a web site (shuch as our own GS) gave it a very low rating. :?sputnick2006
Have you seen some of the ratings and reviews for many of the games I own? (It's far from complete, by the way. I just happen to have the time one day to start listing all the ones I own.)
If I had let reviews decide my games for me, then I would be missing out on some fun games right now...
urgent !!!!!! one question my friends this a usa zone version or europeen version and usa version at dotd for reserved http://www.amazon.com/Spyro-Dawn-Dragon-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B0018YDKC2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1220015193&sr=1-1#productPromotions thanks :):)
I wish you the best of luck, Vince! I hope you find a game to pre-order!!!
How about this? Perhaps you can buy one in the US and have UPS or DHL ship it over to France for you? I'm not completely sure if it'll work, but it's worth a shot....
That way, you could get the game in mid to late October instead of waiting until November......

Auctually, im pretty shure it wont work. Based on prevous knolage, games come in two different types of formats:
NTSC and PAL (Dont ask what they stand for, cuz i dono)
What i do know, is that north and parts of south america use NTSC encoding, and most of europe uses PAL.
NOTE: YOU CANNOT USE A NTSC DISK IN A PAL DEVICE OR VICE VERSA!!!!! I know from experience...
Anyway, unless you know your xbox system and TV can display NTSC technology, DO NOT buy it until it comes out in your own country!
Just some helpfull advice!

Yes, only a few 360 games are region free.

That's what I mean by expensive... Wii/360/pS3(not sure about PS3) are region locked, if you want to play a game from another region you will need a 'freeloader' which costs about 20 dollars or 15 pounds. And the shipping cost would be about the same price as the game.... So yeah, get it when it's released in your country
Well, DotD is starting out at $40USD. SO it'll probably take a little while for the game to frop down into the 20s....SOADjoe19
Yep, $40 for the ps2 vertion, and i think its $50 for every other vertion (excluding handheld/mobile)
And im pretty shure IceFerno lives in Europe, so he was probably not reffering to 20 US dollars. ;)

XD!
Sorry about that Adam. Actually, Joe was right about it taking awhile to drop down to around 20 GBP (Great Britain Pounds). Iceferno is also right about it being way too expensive already. It starts out at 40 GBP. That's around 70 USD! I know it's Spyro, but that's a little too much for a game, don't you think?
It's also too bad you don't have a PS3, Iceferno. It would have been possible to import it from the US, since the system is region free. That way, you may have paid a little less, and not have to wait for it to come out over there.
Lol yes. That's why I said GBP at the end of my desired price. ;) It's funny how games in the UK have the same visual cost (as in both 40) but ofcourse, it's considerably more over here.
As for the PS3, I didn't know they were region-free! :D But it still doesn't help that they're not Backwards Compatible and cost double the price of a standard X360.

Iceferno
Yes, the PS3 is quite expensive. However, all models are PS1 backwards compatible, and the 20 GB and 60 GB models can play PS2 games. The older 80 GB models can also play most PS2 games as well. The only problem with all that, is each of the models capable of playing PS2 games has been discontinued. Thank you Sony...
Also, I heard on the news that the XBOX360 has dropped to $200USD. Thats pretty good considering that the PS3 hasn't seen a price drop since a few months after its release.....
SOADjoe19
That price is quite tempting, but I want to get a PS3 first. Well, I have to, since I already pre-ordered DotD for that system.
If only I had just a little more money...
