Well, I'd say 4 (DS) 7 (PS1) and 9 (PS1) are all some of the best ones.

Those FF games for the gameboy advance were fun, the cartridge that had 1 & 2, FF4, and FF6, but they're remakes I guess 4 use to be 2 on the super nes and 6 use to be 3 on nes... but w/e my point, they were fun... and I just remember'd I didn't beat FF6 yet... don't even remember what i'm suppose to do I haven't play'd it in forever lol.

Does everyone exclude 12 from the list or what. But I would say the easiest one to start with would be FF7 thats the one I started on.

Well for people who play FFXI online, FFXII was easy to get use to. But to be honest I didn't like it, I thought the ending sucked and they made kind of a big deal with the Espers and then I only relised after beating the game that they don't make you go for all of them, you had to go for um on your own, which was crap, I just kept folowing the story wondering when more Espers were gonna pop out.

That's just what happened for the Snes ones in America. FF4 is the Japanese FF4 and the same with FF6. FF2 and FF3 were never released in the US until 4 and 6 so they renamed 'em to 2 and 3.

Espers are another name for what you Summon, right? I remember FF6 was big on them.

You are correct! :D

There's even Espers in FFXII that have some familiar names, besides the ones in almost every Final Fantasy game.

Yeah. There are always the reoccuring ones like Shiva and Ifrit. Do you get Bismark in FF12? It was a giant Whale in FF6 that used water attacks, I think.

Most people hate FFVIII, and it happens to be my favorite one out of them all. :(

The Ultima spell has been in most Final Fantasy games. I know for sure FFVII, FVIII, FFIX, FFX, and FFX-2 all have it; although, you don't get to use it in FFIX.

Ah that'd make sense. Ever since 7 it's been available. Shame you can't use it in 9. That kinda stinks. :|

Well, DOtd isn't out yet... So I don't think you should put that on your list.

Anyway, like Iceferno said, you shouldn't really worry about other games, as you have some value and great games (Like GT 4) to keep you busy.

Well, I guess D.o.t.D could be on the "soon to get" list. :P Your right though; the games I'm playing now are great. In fact, I've completed GT4 (finally...) and am still having fun with Tekken 5 (even though I beat that numerous times with each character...:P)

Once again, you're right, Brandon! All these games and storylines will probably keep me pre-occupied for the rest of the year and then some!!!! For me, I can only play one game at a time to fully enjoy it. Otherwise, I seem to get the storylines and button schemes mixed up...

But, if you played Final Fantasy VII, then you already know what happens at the end. Also, there's that short anime, Last Order, that shows the same events leading up to the end as well...

So I pretty much know what happens, and it is sad...

This website just loooooooovvvvvvvessssss to log me off after I spend like a half and hour talking about final fantasy..........Anyway to summerize what I wanted to say (I was going to put my opion on each FF game I own but I don't feel like writing all that again). I can't believe I missed this topic since I like final fantasy....a lot. And I was wondering why no one metioned final fantasy tactics yet. It's a pretty awsome game.

Hmm, I think FF Tactics is a pretty rare game for one thing. Also, it was previously only available in the US until the port to PSP. I think we tend to talk about global games here, which is good for me! :P Even though eventually I will get an NTSC PS2 for Front Mission 4 and a few other US titles. ;)

Oh? So you played Crisis Core before FFVII? That works, since it's a prequel. ;)

Anyway, to see the scene where it shows the ending events of Crisis Core, go to the basement of the Shinra Manor late on Disc 2. It's after you find out who Zack is in the game.

You are right about that, except I don't know anything about the "army wife" part for an obvious reason...

I sometimes buy my games used, especially when I realized I missed a really fun game that isn't in regular stores anymore.

For a while now, I've been getting games on the launch date, or a few days after it's out. The only time I buy used is when It's a game like the Ripto's Rage.

Yeah. Buying preowned is great for catching up one something you may have only just remembered again. There are a few old PS1 games I still want to check out which I remember from that demo disc with Spyro 1 on I played back in '98. :P

Yeah, I know that kind of life.....well not personally, but a few of my closest friends have family in the military. There was this one kid I'm a good friend of that had his dad stationed in Iraq just this past year. Thank God he came back safely. After his two year service, the kid skipped three complete days of school to solely spend time with his father. 8)
I personally thought that was really touching....:D If you don't mind me asking, what does your husband do in the army?

Well, I always buy new games. But since that I actually rarely buy games at all (the last two games was Spyro: The Eternal Night back in October 2007 and Tekken 5 last Spring) I can afford it. ;) To be honest, Dawn of the Dragon will be the only game I get probably until 2010 when Gran Turismo 5 and TEkken comes out.
But in the meantime, for a used game, thanks to you all and Eddy, I'll be buying Okami after D.o.t.D 8)

I don't know where I'd find Okami. :( I don't think I'll ever buy it on any places like Ebay.

I'll just wait until I see it in stores, which will probably not happen.

I was never sure what she meant about being an Army Wife till I read that, Joe. That's really nice to hear one of your friends made it back safely and yeah, very touching about skipping school to be with his Dad. :)

Back in Primary School, I knew a kid who had a Dad in the Army. He had to move schools after about 2 or 3 years. :|

I've got a fair amount to keep me busy now since my bro kindly got me Front Mission 3 for my birthday. :) I don't know if you remember me saying but that was the game I had before but it mysteriously vanished along with my purple GBA and Megaman Battle Network 4. But hey, I'm over the Megaman BN games now. But not entirely against them, so I have them emulated :P

I don't know where I'd find Okami. :( I don't think I'll ever buy it on any places like Ebay.

I'll just wait until I see it in stores, which will probably not happen.bd0g5

I'm trying to limit my eBay usage aswell. I only buy old games and music promos off there now. I've been getting loads of promos lately! I'm still waiting on one or two, I think.

I have a question for you guys, do you buy newer games used? I only have 3 used Xbox 360 games, because they were all very cheap.bd0g5

I buy the majority of my games new. As I posted earlier, I only get used ones when I can't find them in stores. Although, ordering online seems to have become another option for me now.

It shouldn't be too hard to find it, since the game got a Greatest Hits release. Do you have any used game places like GameStop near you? There's a good chance you'll find it there.

If anything, you can use reliable online sites (Ebay's not reliable, by the way) to buy it from. I know you don't want to use online places, but I can guarantee you'll find it somewhere over the Internet...

Instead of GameStop, I have EB Games, which is the exact same thing.

You're absolutely right. GameStop owns EB games. Maybe you can try looking for Okami there?

It even says GameStop all over the bag, lolz.

I always look when I go there, I'll probably find it some time.
