My husband is a 13P...rocket launcher stuff...He is home on R&R from Iraq right now...He leaves to go back tomorrow morning.MissKittyKat21
Wow... Im terribly sorry to hear this... I know you and i havent talked much MissKittyKat21, but you have my sympathe if it matters any...
I've heard from my Mum that a lot of American citizens have to sign up for "The Draft" (basically, get into the Army against their will). I hope your husband wasn't one of those people and did it because he wanted to help people. :)Iceferno
No, we dont have a draft (yet) thank goodness. although if this war goes on for much longer there might be a need for one. =(
I was replying to you Iceferno, they cant draft us for this war, only for wars that are on a GLOBAL scale can they draft us. (My noob ass forgot to quote)Aerosite
Ugh... I dont know dude. Technicly, its not up to us... the big wigs in washington can do just about anything they want including a draft. I, personally dont think its likely that it will happen for this war, but you really never know....
And to clear this up with IceFerno: Yes, its true that when people in our country (i think its only men) get above a certian age, they MUST sign a piece of paper saying we would go to war if a draft would occur. Im not shure exactly what the age is, or what the gov't does to you if you dont sign up, but it cant be good.
Oh no! :o
Well, Lindsey, you can be certain that I'll have your husband in my thoughts to come home safely....
I bet it must be hard for you also, something I could never imagine.
I just can't wait until this damn war is over....:(SOADjoe19
You, me and my husband all want it to be over. It is harder when I have major things going on. I went through my first surgery by myself because they wouldn't send him home. My recovery took 3 weeks because I didn't have any help like they had promised they would give me which resulted in me popping one of my stitches. So it sucks. Other times when things aren't going on it isn't as bad.

When males turn 18 they have to register for the draft. What it is, is that they get a number and if the U.S. instates a draft and their number gets called they are shipped out. So yes it is an against the will thing. But drafts are used when the military isn't getting enough recruits and the need for soldiers is great than the risk of loosing lives. Hence things like world wars. There is no draft currently and hasn't been one for a long long time. My husband joined on his own free will.
The only war they could draft us in at this time, would be the future WWIII.Aerosite
No that is not true. All it takes is for the president to decide he wants a draft and I believe that a majority of both houses have to agree. It doesn't matter if it is a world war or not. The vietnam war was not a world war yet there was a draft. There can be a draft for Operation Iraqi Freedom. At this point there isn't. A few years back they tried to reinstate the draft but because of how controvesial the war is, it never passed.

Nope...not true. All that needs to happen is that the need for soldiers out weighs the risks. It does not matter if it is a global war or a civil war. It does not matter at all!

I think it's horrific. The US is a pretty f***ed-up country in some of the things it decides is legal. :(
I'm not sure about it, but is the Iraq war not even that big? It would suck if it got worse.

In my opinion this war in Iraq was, at forst, a war on terrorism, but now I see it as a governmental dispute for natual recources, where we cant get as much here as in other countries they have an abundence of it.
But I did read them all. My opinion is simple. I don't get involved in political conversations because in everyone I'm in, there's just a lot of disagreeing and no resolvement of anything.
Do if you guys are entering a political conversation, I have no problem with it. I'm just going to sit back and watch until it's over....SOADjoe19
*pulls up a chair next to Joe*
I absolutely hate political debates, or anything related to politics in general. It's not my type of thing, and as Joe said, these kinds of conversations usually turn into an argument with no true resolution...
I hate political disputes, but I love to argue, or criticize something, call it a critic's intuition if you will. You know, In all the games I have played, not a single one gets a 10 out of 10 rating, I am just that picky:PAerosite
I agree. A pleasant and friendly debate is great. And having a critic's intuition isn't bad either, it just means anyone who reads your reviews won't be disappointed.
I love finding glitches. :)
I know one in Spyro the Dragon, were you can find some sort of "crystal world" if you play with the camera in a certain spot. I should make a video of it some time.

I found a few gliches in DotD, the one that I seem to do the most, is when your climbing on one of those vine walls, when you go to jump on another vine wall that goes the other direction, (or a 90 degree angle wall) I end up looking like I am still on the first wall. Spyro's/ Cynder's body is halfway in the wall, and the worst part is, you cant climb the wall till you jump out.
Nice "gives Joe props", I knew what the Shadow gates were the instant I saw them, with the dark coloring, and the Arch underneath it.Aerosite
Hey, I did also. As soon I saw those gates with the dark aura on the bottom in the fourth stage, I knew what I needed to do. It's a good thing I was already familar with all of Cynder's attack by then. :)
As for glitches, I've seen plenty in this game, especially when using a Fury. Also, the first time I was going through one of those gates with Cynder's shadow element, I GOT STUCK IN THE WALL somehow! So I had to switch to Spyro and she "teleported" out of the wall.

It shouldn't matter what score GS gives. There's always gonna be conflicting opinions. I think Tony Hawk's American Wasteland is way better than a mere 7.5. Fair enough it was given 6 on the 360 version as nothing was really updated for it. I think they just took the GC version and ported it.
At the end of the day, it's up to you to decide how much you like a game. You shouldn't let anyone else decide for you.
