[QUOTE="Iceferno"]At the end of the day, it's up to you to decide how much you like a game. You shouldn't let anyone else decide for you. SOADjoe19
Well, it's true ;)
If it's a game without any sequels or prequels, I rate it on quality, or origionality. If it does have sequels or prequels, I ussually compare it to the other games in the series in some way.Aerosite
Yeah. I sometimes compare too. But usually I just take a look at that specific game's strong points. :)
I thought it was pretty good. Series and by itself.
But thats just preference. Everyone has it. Even those bastard game reviewers....:roll:SOADjoe19
Those idiot reviewers are friggin EVIL!!!!! They dont give any of the games I like a decent rating, with the exeption of 2 games.
They probably don't even play the game...It seems like it, because most people can't review.bd0g5
Here's the truth, and I'm not lying. I don't care if I get in trouble for saying this, because it is true.
Lots of "professional" reviewers don't give honest opinions about the games they review. Why? Because the companies actually PAY them to give the game a certain review. That's means they're not going to point out the glaring or major flaws of the game, like Metal Gear Solid 4's long cutscenes.
That's why I NEVER let reviewers decide my games for me. "Pro" reviews are nothing but a waste of time for me. I can find user reviews even more honest than anything they write. I also do lots of research like watch gameplay videos and visit the game boards for the game, so I know if there's anything seriously wrong with the game that might make it unenjoyable or playable.
This site has also done this with several "perfect 10" games. In other words, never trust GameSpot's reviews...
I might buy both BKs together (I'll get more ripped off, I know :P). But I'll probably see how much Nuts & Bolts is before I buy. I don't like to spend too much on just one game.
Ok, Drago, new question: How the hell did you get all 900 Notes within the first day of play? :? lol It's nosey, I know, but I've been checking profiles on MyGamerCard.net :PÂ
About the 900 notes, is that supposed to be really tough?bd0g5
Uh, yeah. The notes are one of the main things in the game aside from the Jiggies. I think the most I got was 810+
Hey, guys. If you didn't already know, Eddy won't be on the USU for a while (two or three days max) because his Internet is down and needs to be fixed. He's on the 360 Live thing because he's using a neighbors on-line capatability to use.
He'll be on in a while...I know, I miss him already. :cry:SOADjoe19
Already? Heh. Wish I had that effect on people.Â
That reminds me.
This is just something I heard. I'm not too sure if it actually happened, but it sounds true. Once, someone who worked for GameSpot gave a game a 6.0, and he got fired. I think the reason was that they wanted it to have a higher score.
bd0g5
You mean this or the same thing with more details?
It was a rumor, but I don't doubt it actually happened.
Wow. So even these "unbiased" reviews are corrupted. :roll:SOADjoe19
You heard right bro. It's all about the money now...
Ahh. Well, my bro told me today that those who've pre-ordered BK: Nuts & Bolts get the Arcade one with it and I'm guessing that also means before it's even available to buy from XB Live.Iceferno
I'm sorry for not answering this earlier. This was asked during the time my internet was not working...
But, you got it right. Those who pre-ordered Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts got the original N64 Banjo-Kazooie free for download before it will be available on XBL on the 26th. ^_^
To tell you the truth, I actually got BK: Nuts & Bolts more for the original BK. I know paying $40 just for it would be insane, but it's one of the few games I love so much that money isn't a factor to me. I'd easily pay just as much easily for Rare's other great games like Donkey Kong Country 2 and my favorite fighting game of all time, Killer Instinct. :D

Iceferno
Heh, I also check everyone else's profiles when I get the chance. ;)
Anyway, the reason I got all 900 Notes on the first day of play is because I played the heck out of Banjo-Kazooie on the N64. Did I mention it was my favorite game for that system, even more than Super Smash Bros.? I still remembered where everything was even after all these years. :D
And the best part it, I already got 200/200 on it, but I haven't gone online with my system to update my profile yet. That means this is my first XBL game I've mastered, along with my first commercial game, Dawn of the Dragon. I got the Buddy System Achievement for it, which makes a 1000/1000. :)

...Thanks again for spreading the word about me. I missed everyone on here too.
Already? Heh. Wish I had that effect on people.

Everyone on here matters to me. If one of us didn't show up for awhile without notice, then we'd start worrying, just like how we wondered where Adam and Erica were at one point. You would not be different, and you can expect me to start asking questions about your whereabouts if you didn't post for a long time.

Yep, it was that game.Â
Speaking of N64 games coming to XBL, my brother said he heard something about Goldeneye. Microsoft and Rare wanted it to, but I think Nintendo didn't. I'd love to get goldeneye...

Heh. Yeah, I would've preordered it too just so I could have the original BK, but damn. I hate how expensive games are nowadays. They're about 40GBP new which is pretty excessive imo. The most I've payed is 30, but I'd like it to be 20, really.

Oh man :| I've never got full Gamerpoints on a game yet. Would be nice if I could perhaps get it on BK. But so far, Streets Of Rage 2 is the closest to 100% completition, with only one insane achievement left to get (which I'm not even gonna try to attempt).

I wasn't feeling too great that day. Sometimes I say really depressing things.

Who knows, it might happen. After all, Rare are no longer in Nintendo's hands, so to speak. I know there's more reason to be skeptical since GoldenEye was only the 2nd game (I think) on the N64.

My only 1000 is in Madden 09, it has some tough achievements. :|Anyways, aren't you close to 1000 in one of the Tony Hawk games? Try going for the last achievement.
Eh, maybe.
Perhaps you should look at each game individually. Not having an influence to any of its prequels.SOADjoe19
I think that you should do both. If a game is a sequel or in a series, looking at the other ones can show where the gameplay and graphics have improved and whether or not it different from the other games in the series. But the game individually should also be taken into account.Â
YAY! I finally got DotD! My daddy got it for me for xmas. So I am very happy. I have almost beat it. But I am tryin to go back through and get the few things that I missed before I beat Malefor.MissKittyKat21
Yay. :)
You can get those things after you beat Malefor, by the way.
