And Drago's chacter: I'm going to consider his chacter a green dragon for now according to the pictures he sent me. If this doesn't suit your chacter Drago please tell me a quick description (color wise since I want to avoid graphical glitches by adding stuff to models). Also I forgot the name of your chacter so if you don't mind could you tell me the name of him for me again?

He's more of the color of the dragon I showed you, which is a pale yellowish-gray mix with orange eyes and dark yellow wings. And his name is Zairer.

If I didn't have so many things I was working on, then I'd try to find the sprite of him to recolor myself. I'll try to do that ASAP and sorry if I can't get it done quick enough. Go ahead and make him how you want, if I'm too slow getting it to you.

Here's what I have. GIMP made it look a bit worse when I made it JPEG. 

 I just had trouble colouring the wings. :/

I went to the picture, and saved it as PNG now.

I tried to reload the file as a PNG file by bringing it to paint first and saving it as a PNG file but only black screens appeared in the game. Don't use GIMP anymore it doesn't work with the game.

Unless you want to redo it again by clicking on my link above and saving it on to paint then you can if you want to but if you don't feel like doing it again just let me know and Iwill do the chacter for you.

Okay! Me and Joe spent about 4 hours trying to figure out why the images bdog and him submitted to me didn't work with the rpg maker. Our efforts found no specific answer to our questions but we did figure out a way to lower the frustration.

Anyone who is helping me edit images to the game should now edit sprites by first editing one image of the spirte and then putting it up on this topic. This allows me to do two things:

1. See if the chacter looks good for the game.

2. See if it is compatible with the rpg maker.

This way if it turns out that the images don't work or they don't look good you won't have to redo the whole sprite again. I'm going to do Mark and Bdog's battle chacter from here so you guys don't have to worry about them anymore. Just continue on with the next sprite.

I'll work on the next sprite, if you want.

So the problem doesn't happen again, what do I do? All I can remember is when I'm done on GIMP, I open in on Paint and save it to PNG?

To everyone that has been helping me out so far. Thank you once again. I should let you guys know though that I can't edit battle chacters as quickly as the map chacters (it actully turned out that I'm kinda okay at editing map chacters so I might take some chacters to edit on my own). Battle chacters have far more sprites to edit and so they would take me awhile anyway I will send you the battle chacter of Bdog's chacter (again). I hope you guys don't mind doing him again because I can't find the time to work on him on the other hand I think I can edit Mark pretty easy by myself since it's just his coat I need to edit and so it shouldn't take me that long. Anyway here's the chacter again (don't forget to use the "save image as" command to save it to a file, use the open command under file in paint to load it up as a normal file and so you can edit it that way):

Anyway in other news I have completed the introduction to the game and I am beginning to work on the first town now.

I haven't updated my game in a while huh? I have been busy with college stuff and I was so stressed today that I didn't even play videogames after I finished my homework. Anyway I am going to wait on showing parts of the game since I know my family is going to get a digital video camera for Christmas which I can borrow so I can do a few video updates instead.

Reminds me of the good ol' times when we talked about trying a new Spyro (with gameplay like 1-3. Phew. Had to change what I said because of those 2 words. :|). And I think on the Tony Hawk boards, I talked with f_ZeroX about us making TH games or something. :P It's good to dream. 8)

OH YEAH! I love you guys supporting me :). It makes me want to make the game even better then I already envision it :D. Anyway I am off to make 32 envelopes for recomandation letters and college transcripts so I will wish you all a good night. Because I will be up to 1:00 doing this stuff.swordmaster3

The file Brandon gave you was a JPG, and then you tried to change it to a PNG. Since the new file was saved as a JPG, it lost that extra layer which makes the background disappear and only the sprite itself appear. JPG is a compressed picture format with much lower size at the cost of quality and things like transparency, hidden layers, etc.

Saving something to a PNG that already lost the things it needed to work in the game won't work, which is why the sprite didn't work before.

In other words, don't use JPG. Always save it to the required PNG format. It's not Gimp causing the problems. I know it can work with these kinds of images. I've done it before plenty of times.

Also, I've missed so much around here. Could someone post what needs to be worked on, and I'll get it done as soon as possible?

Hello everyone I finally was able to get everything I needed to gather. These are the images I need editing:

Name of Character: Joshua/Ocelot *nickname * ( I'm trying to make me if I were in the game universe :P. Thats my name/nickname )

Description: Brown skin and eyes, black hair, shirt, and pants, and finally red boots and gloves ( Wish I had that kind of fashion choice )

Class/special powers: Normal Human, I have a higher than average magic powers and sword skills for a Normal Human, but I have less agility.

Personality: I'm mostly a loner and quiet guy, but around friends I become open and talkative. I'm positive and optimistic, being mostly calm and normal during many big crisis, but when I do break, I turn suddenly to moody, violent, and negative. I like to joke around, but sometimes I can be a bit extreme in my jokes. I have an obsession with cleaning stuff even if they only have just a small blemish, like glasses ( Oh I think I forgot to say that I have glasses ), swords, and armor.

kool, here the personality for my character:

I'm a kind-hearted man who fights with honor. I's also quick to anger and i also know various types of technigues, like Hiten Misturugi style (look at the Rurouni Kenshin anime to know more) and the Kamia Kasshin style. I weild a zweilder (like dante's Rebellion) and a sakabota (reverse edged blade). I don't eblieve in killing with a cause and i am good friends with Sieg. I also like to chat in a group but try to hide my emotions unless i get to emotional with something. even though im a light slayer i hold a grude against the dark slayers for destorying my family. I get scared sometimes but i try to hide my fear. Sometimes i get petrified when i see a horrific sight. I also help out the weak, especially girls. I wander around the world, protecting innocents whenever i can, but i still keep in contact with the Light Slayers and tell them any new info i can find.

kool eh? I was watching Rurouni Kenshin before and i wanted my character to be styled like Kenshin but with a little bit of Yahiko in it.
