A note about this thread: mrgab, I respect your opinion and I think it's unfair that the other posters in this thread have apparantly taken it a bit too personally.Â
Onto my thoughts on the show:
Test/Knox vs Dreamer/Sandman was possibly the most ECWlike thing we've seen since it's return. I loved it. The ending kind of fell short, but overall it was very well done.Â
I really liked the short Heyman/Sabu promo. They did a great job of creating the right lockerroom atmosphere to compliment Heyman's current character.
My first time seeing CM Punk in a match, and I was very impressed. Part of it may have been how insanely over he was with the crowd, but I'm not complaining. Good to see it wasn't a squash.
Brooklyn Brawler? Oh okay, he's Angle-meat. I barely even consider this a match. I wish Angle would stop slapping his opponent all the time.
And now the main event- The ECW crowd tore Batista and Show apart, and I loved it. I really hope Vince was paying attention. Unfortunately he probably was, but it ends up back-firing and he decides not to go back to an ECW arena. I think The_Dude summed up the ME really well, so go back and read his thoughts on it.
A very good edition of ECW. I'd watch it again.
this is not me this is my friend miles
i had no idea that cm punk was that impressive for a guy i barely even heard of the name "The Savior Of Pro Wrestling" fits him well. After hearing all that stuff he was bragging about i thought he was going to be another one of those generic garbage wrestlers that come and go. Good ECW debut for a guy who's initials are "Chick Magnet"Miles
ok...thats what he has to say
after the hype by pretty much everyone i think that the debut suited him well he has the most potential ive ever seen...bravo punk
Edit: Miles said don't flame him for not knowing who CM punk is he dosent know that much about roh and independent wrestling
While I won't deny more than a few giggles at the crowd during the main event ("Change the Channel" being my favorite), I felt bad for both Show and Batista. Even had they gone out there and delivered a match far better than they should have, the crowd would have crapped all over it. Show has really been motivated and tried to up his game in ECW and even though he's not good, I still like Batista and I respected that they seemed to be trying, but they didn't have a chance. Had WWE saved that one for the typical Smackdown crowd, it would have been pretty well recieved, but WWE didn't know their audience, and this audience let them hear it, loud and clear. It also made the match quite a bit more entertaining, I just wish WWE had unchained Styles for a night instead of making him and Tazz try to sell the match.The_Dude14
Yeah...I could not agree more... I notice it seem to really effect Batista...
Also...am I the only one who thinks that one fan talking trash to Batista pre-match was on the obnoxious side of things...? Granted...I am in favor of audience that makes their voice heard...however...I do not think Batista deserved that kind of treatment... In addition... what was Vince McMahon thinking? Did he want to anger the audience on purpose or what?
After ECW On Sci-Fi went off the air, the Big Show and Batista teased getting back in the ring to wrestle more as the crowd booed. They entered the ring, smiled, shook hands, and hugged as fans threw garbage into the ring. The two then walked around ringside giving fans high fives as many of them cursed at them. Big Show eventually grabbed the mic and told the crowd to kiss his ass.
Live reports had the crowd being mixed with original ECW fans who hated all the WWE wrestlers and WWE fans who cheered the WWE guys.
Simon Dean and Fit Finlay were backstage at the show.
Recently eliminated Diva Search contestant Rebecca was seated in one of the balconies at the show.

Last time I checked, having an opinion was perfectly fine and acceptable, regardless if it goes down as one against a troop. I felt it was unjust for some of you to decide to gather up and argue against the mrgab in an intimidating manner. Sure, a civilised argument would have been fine but deciding to call him "hopeless" with other petty comments isn't, at all, just because he didn't follow the crowd.
What a way to ruin the discussions thread to what was an awesome show to chat about.
The crowd was vintage ECW and funny as hell. Though, I'm really getting tired of fans throwing crap at the wrestlers. Even if I'm not a fan of a wrestler I respect that they go out there and bust their asses(and risk injury)to put on a show. I can't imagine it is easy to go out and perform in front of an audience that hostile.

It happens....Like at Wrestlemania 3 they where throwing garbage at Andre The Giant!....It happens....would I do it. probable not....Unless it was Joe....I'd nail him with a can of slim fast....and when he comes to confront me I'd give him a Purple Nurple and make him tap! (D.T.T.S.S. rule in a effect)
Saw the match on Youtube (So pissed that I missed the show) good match.. I'm glad the guy knows how the sell a move...witch for some reason not that many people know how to do today. That knee was nasty.
And if you guys don't like when people say Meh about Punk don't dare go near Gamefaqs...The Punk hate over this massive...
Also during Show's match, did anyone else catch that "Take a shower!" chant? :P I thought it was hillarious how Show smelled his own armpit and laughed about it, great way to play to the crowd. He also took it upon himself to flip the crowd off at one point which just shows he's a great heel. I felt kinda bad for Big Show. For Batista....not that much so. Batista has always been loved in the WWE, the fans have always eaten him up with a spoon and I think it's about time he got some crowd heat. He looked as if he couldn't handle the crowd IMO. A funny part of it was during his entrance, that one kid slapped his backside and Tista turns around looking all mean at the kid. The kid is obviously about to wet himself he looks scared to death. Then Batista turns around and the kid starts cursing him out. Lmao. The crowd should have showed more respect to Big Show especially by not throwing toilet paper, but overall I liked the crowd.

How was I supposed to know that?
Also, was the question directed at you? I'm sure that he (or she) can answer the question him or herself.

Oh and although that wasn't directly questioned at me, I felt it was right to offer some justification otherwise just so you know beforehand. As I said, not everyone gets to watch the shows on time.

It's not like I should just pretend to agree with someone just because they run the union. If he tells me to do something, I'll do it, but as of now I'm just responding the way I always do,.
