Nice Review biggestgeekever, good recap of what happen and you explained how you felt in nice way. I am too much of Autmistic (sp?), so that is why I was more forgiving and gave SS 2005 higher score than you.

Anyways, I thought that Bob Orton Jr. was Brother Love, because of the white suit he was wearing mainly. Of course, I was way off on that one.

Personally, I thought SummerSlam 2001 was the worst SS I have seen, but than again, I have not seen any SS before the 1998 edition (which is still the best one I have seen to this day).

Summerslam 1995's main event was Diesel vs King Mabel aka Viscera. That should tell you all you need to know. Although the PPV also had HBK vs Razor in a rematch of the WRestlemania X ladder match. However, you can match that with RVD vs Hardy.

Anyways, I am hoping and praying it will be Orton vs. Batista at No Mercy 2005. Yeah, they do not match together well, but the match could be very good IMHO and almost anything would be better than another time of JBL being in the main event (please stop the streak at #12).Link256

Summerslam-5/10

This Summerslam was the worst i have ever seen. Could have and Should have been way better.

No Intercontinental Defense

No Tag Team Defense

I think the Hogan/HBK match was boring. HBK owned Hogan and then RIGHT AFTER a superkick he hulks up and wins? Total BS if you ask me.

Benoit/Jordan-

.....unworthy of being called a match. I'll leave it at that.

Cena/Jericho-

a good match IMO, could have been better. If Jericho wasn't going to take time off he should have won.

Rey/Eddie Ladder Match for custody of Domonick

8.9/10 A great match IMO, the match that made Summerslam worthy of watching. Eddie's wife and Domonick's interference made Rey win. A great Ladder Match.

Batista/JBL-

Way better than the GAB match, with a great finish of the Batista bomb on the steel steps.

Matt/Edge-

WTF!?!!? the match was Matts, then a few hits and a turnbuckle to the head and Edge wins? I DEMAND A REMATCH

Randy Orton VS The Undertaker-

Crap finish with Bob Orton, i see Bob VS Taker next week. I also see a rematch at No Mercy

Kurt Angle VS Eugene-

After a Stunner and a Rock Bottom and an Ankle Lock Kurt Angle still defeats Eugene? I saw this happening as i think Cena/Angle is going to happen.

This will be the last bump for people to post their thoughts and opinions related to the PPV.

I had a SummerSlam party over at my friend's house, and we enjoyed it.

All of us said in unison, "WTF?!" as Benoit made Jordan tap out in around 20 seconds. :P

Matt vs. Edge was just a fight. As the match stopped, we made some fun at Matt's condition. "One eye sees the canvas, the other one sees a popcorn vendor." LOL! Anyway, I hope there's a rematch.

Eddie vs. Rey's Ladder match was pretty good. We pointed out the many botches that were in that match.

Eugene vs. Angle..........We all knew what the outcome was gonna be from the start. :P

As for Orton vs. 'Taker, as soon as that ref was distracted by the "fan decoy", we thought that Orton was gonna low-blow 'Taker. But lo and behold, the R.K.O. outta nowhere, and Orton gets the 3. heh, Cowboy Bob Orton was at it again.

I was trying to keep my silence of Y2J's temporary departure from the company until after the match. Anyway, that tilt-a-whirl F-U was friggin' awesome. :D

Batista vs. J.B.L., much better than the G.A.B.'s match. As soon as 'Tista went to powerbomb J.B.L. onto the steel steps, one of my friends said (for Batista), "I'm not mad, it's just that you're not gonna have a spine for a while." :P

And nyah I thought that Michaels would go psycho with the razor blade like he usually does. Although he did oversell, most, if not all, of Hogan's moves. Anyway, my prediction was correct. :D The bloodied Grandpa won the match.

So that was my brief review of SummerSlam. As soon as the LIVE show was over, we went ahead and watched it again. :D Thanks, TiVo. :P
