Yo what happened to No Way Out? Don't tell me they try to squeeze two PPV's between the Rumble and Mania now. Wouldn't surprise me with all the PPVs WWE has.

No Way Out was renamed Elimination Chamber, due to a online questionnaire by the WWE, and portion of the IWC proceed over react and ***** by huge margin.

Unless Edge is loosing his WM shot, I think it is safe to say Taker dropping the belt here.

If it is not Trips-Shawn at WM, I'll be very surprised if it is not Trips-Sheamus.

In contrast, considering the fact the WWE has not given up on Sheamus until this point, I have very hard time believing they will not go all the way with this run, and have him hold the title until at least WrestleMania.

They gave up on Cena last year.

...Then gave him the title back at WM, but still.

Another point is, if you look at all the E.C. winners (excluding the ECW one), the winners have seen the likes of Triple H, The Undertaker, Triple H, and Edge. Oh, and Triple H. I don't see the likes of Sheamus being put in with this group.

Exactly, so why should he be put in charge of holding a, no, the top title going into the biggest PPV in pro wrestling history?

It's a shame we never got to see Edge-Cena at WrestleMania. They had plenty of matches on other PPVs, and even a Triple Threat at XXV, but never a one on one match.

Something I noticed, recently acquiring and watching No Way Out 2008, that the two PPVs with the EC format have contained a preview of the feud of the year for that year. In 08, Jericho and HBK started and carried the Raw Elimination Chamber match. Last year, Jericho and Rey.

They also both had Chris Jericho, so whomever he goes one on one with this time will determine who has the best match series this year.

Not many ways to screw someone inside an Elimination Chamber. And I doubt Michaels is gonna bring a big ass truck in and rip the walls off.

Maybe after he's not so cocky once he's lost the title, he agrees to face Michaels.

Michaels could Edge his way into the Smackdown EC and lead directly to Taker's elimination, possibly stating his only purpose in the match is to ensure that Taker doesn't leave with the belt (he did this for the original EC, with Trips... which incidently lead to his last short-lived title reign)

Michaels "Edging" his way into the EC seems too heel-ish for a face to do.

Maybe he could just casually walk down, and as 'Taker goes for the Tombstone, he could shoot him in the back with a tranquilizer.

HBK could pin Taker, eliminating him, and then just walking out of the EC and I guess getting counted out (long story short, he didn't want the title, just to screw Taker).

That's what I was thinking, as well, but then I wondered, "How does one walk out of the Elimination Chamber?"

I mean, they've been promoting the "no escape" part of it. I think that holds true for someone trying to get away from the pain, or a content HBK not giving a damn about a World Title.

Very face.

The way they are playing up Michaels obsession, seems like him doing a little heel leaning isn't a stretch, starting with his elimination of Trips. Last time Michaels got obsessed, he beat Jericho unmercifully and was never going to be the same again... which logically lead to HBK becoming JBL's slave because he had no money and then being the exact same HBK, even though he was a "changed man" after what he did to Jericho.

HBK and Taker are the first two out (or the last two) and both are unable to get up for the 10 count? Naw, that would vacate the title.

HBK pinning Taker after a Superkick, then Jericho eliminating HBK? I could see HBK going over to SD, getting into the EC, and then cutting a promo saying after he wins the title, Taker will have to chase him for it. It makes sense that way in "why would HBK be in the EC?"

Are we all forgetting when Edge screwed Kofi out of his Elimination Chamber match? It could easily happen again.

I mean, Shawn has about 30 minutes to do it while Taker is making his entrance into the chamber.

HBK could eliminate Taker with a superkick, then just lie down, or if he gets eliminated first, he could superkick Taker before leaving, causing his elimination.

I say HBK wins it. Loses to taker at wrestlemania they have a backlash match i suppose Taker loses and HBK gets that well deserved one last title reighn. While taker hangs it up or goes even more part time as what 8 time champion? sounds like a good retirement number to me.

and Edge well faces well i have no idea Raw title picture looks horrid unless its jericho sneakin g back into raw for the 100000th time

though an epic taker retirement angle would be awesome if he can still do it next year.

I see a bunch of theories about how this ppv will set up Taker vs. HBK at Mania. But I have a theory that is so wild and farfetched that no one in this union has thought about it. Maybe it won't be Taker HBK II at Mania.

Wow...SmackDown's EC looks better to the tenth power than Raw's EC.

I predict that Jericho wins this, to set up Edge-Jericho at WM, and get the title off of 'Taker for 'Taker-HBK.
